Chapter 208:
Amelia longed to get to the bottom of things, but with Michelle only just waking up after her surgery and unwilling to reveal anything, she decided against prying for answers, not wanting to upset Michelle any further.
Nothing about Ricky crossed Amelia’s lips again. She poured all her energy into tending to Michelle, making sure every detail of her care was handled with patience and precision.
Only after Michelle drifted off to sleep did Amelia allow herself to leave the hospital room. Spotting the bodyguards outside, she leaned in and instructed in a low voice, “Keep watch. I don’t want anyone from the Flynn family getting close to my grandmother from now on p>
“Understood, Mrs. Stewart p>
Amelia hadn’t foreseen that the Flynns would try to approach Michelle. She counted it as her own oversight.
Beneath the glow of the moon, she found herself heading straight to the Flynn family’s house.
Ricky had been riding high on a wave of success lately, and his good mood had infused the entire Flynn household with a sense of harmony and joy.
Amelia entered the living room to find Janessa trading playful remarks with Ricky, while Lainey, seated off to the side, was grinning from ear to ear.

However, their smiles vanished the moment they saw Amelia.
“What are you doing here?” Janessa asked coldly, not even bothering with pleasantries.
Without giving her so much as a glance, Amelia strode right over to Ricky and asked, “What did you tell my grandmother p>
Though Amelia’s words came out calmly, the coldness in her eyes was clear.
Ricky showed no sign of surprise at seeing her here. He was certain that Michelle would keep quiet about what he had said to her. The way Amelia confronted him made him realize he had guessed right.
“With a bold sneer, he said, “Who do you think you are? Do you think you can boss everyone around just because you’re married to Wyatt now? I’ll tell you right now p>
Suddenly, a sharp crash broke his rant. Coffee sprayed everywhere, burning Janessa and Ricky and sending both leaping from their seats. Amelia had thrown a cup of coffee onto the floor.
“Amelia, what is wrong with you p>
Ricky’s hand lifted, ready to strike, but Amelia’s words froze him in place the next second. “I am a member of the Stewart family now. If you lay a finger on me, you’ll regret it p>
Anger flickered in Ricky’s eyes, but he didn’t dare hit Amelia anymore.
Lainey’s eyes flashed with scorn as she took in the situation. She shot a harsh look at Amelia and said, “You seem to forget that you’re still a Flynn. No matter who your husband is, our family won’t tolerate your outbursts. Leave p>
“Actually, you’re the ones who should leave, not me,” Amelia retorted. Lainey’s words had reminded her of something.
This house belonged to her. Her eyes frosted over as she snapped, “All of you, get out right now, or I’ll call someone to drag you out p>
Anger rippled through the Flynn family members at her words.
Lainey, lips curled with disdain, exclaimed, “What gives you the authority to throw us out? This is our home. It p>
“Have you forgotten this place was a wedding gift for my mother? I hold the deed in my hands!” Amelia’s sharp tone sliced through Lainey’s protest, cutting her off. Lainey’s glare burned, but Amelia continued, “You’ve had it easy for far too long. Maybe it’s time someone reminded you of your real place p>
Then a single clap from Amelia echoed through the room. Almost instantly, a squad of bodyguards—Barrie’s men, loyal and imposing—marched inside, fanning out behind Amelia like a wall.
Amelia ordered, “Kick them all out p>
“Amelia, how could you do this to us p>
Obeying Amelia’s order, the bodyguards quickly grabbed hold of the Flynn family members. A short while later, the bodyguards dragged the whole bunch out and dumped them near the gate p>
As they gathered themselves outside, Amelia stood tall and said, her tone unyielding, “Consider this your final warning. Go near my grandmother again, and I will make sure you regret it. The agreement from before is clear. After I marry, I gain control over that sixty percent share. So, you’d better do as I say p>
Ricky’s fists clenched so tightly that his knuckles turned white. He stared at her, looking as though he could tear her apart.
She actually dared to treat him like this.
He wished he had never shown her any mercy.
