Chapter 351:
Amelia’s sharp words had all but branded Jaycob as useless, leaving Amor without a comeback.
At that moment, the door to the hospital room swung open from the inside.
The sound drew everyone’s attention, and they instinctively moved toward it. Doug announced that Conroy had woken up and invited all the Stewart family members to enter, except for Jewell.
As Doug began to close the door, Jewell lunged forward. “Doug, why didn’t my father ask me to go in p>
“Do you honestly think he would want to see you after what you’ve done?” Doug replied, his polite tone laced with bite.
If Jewell weren’t Conroy’s son, Doug would have already taught him a harsh lesson.
Just as Doug was about to shut the door, Jewell forced it open. Doug was briefly caught off guard and was about to call for security when Conroy’s hoarse voice came from inside. “Let him in p>
Doug stepped aside.
Walking in, Jewell dropped to his knees beside Conroy’s bed.
Conroy, propped up against the pillows, let out a cold laugh at the sight. “What’s this act for p>

“Dad, I know I made a mistake. I didn’t mean to do that. I p>
“You meant every bit of it,” Conroy snapped, freezing Jewell in place.
Desperate, Jewell scrambled for an excuse but found none. He turned to Wyatt, silently begging for help.
Amelia almost scoffed at his nerve, but mindful of her place as Conroy’s granddaughter-in-law, she held back and leveled Jewell with an icy stare instead.
Wyatt didn’t so much as look at Jewell.
Left with nowhere else to turn, Jewell said to Conroy in a low voice, “Dad, I’m truly sorry. I’ll do anything to make this right p>
“Anything,” Conroy repeated, his tone skeptical.
Jewell hesitated for a heartbeat, and Conroy let out a cold snort at that.
Jewell quickly nodded. “Yes, anything p>
“Then tell me who put you up to sneaking into my study and stealing my seal first,” Conroy said.
Amor interjected, “Conroy, Jewell already said outside that Wyatt told him to p>
“Silence!” Conroy cut Amor off, his eyes blazing with icy contempt.
He had actually been awake for some time, choosing not to alert those outside until he had overheard their argument. Hearing Amor still trying to pin the blame on Wyatt only deepened his disgust. He turned his cold gaze on her and said, “Since when do you think you have the right to interrupt here p>
Amor’s face drained of color. Resentment simmered in her eyes, but she didn’t dare speak again.
Though Amelia had her issues with Conroy, she couldn’t help but approve of the way he handled the situation now.
Noticing Conroy’s strained breathing, she picked up a glass of water from the bedside table and brought it to him.
Conroy glanced at her, said nothing, and drank through the straw.
Once he had steadied himself, he turned his attention back to Jewell, who was still kneeling beside the bed. “Talk, or get out p>
“It was… Kamila,” Jewell finally admitted under Conroy’s unrelenting pressure, spilling everything. “She told me to do it p>
Ever since Wyatt had taken the five percent shareholding from Pattie and Rory, Kamila had been consumed with desperation. She eventually pushed Jewell to prepare a share transfer document and steal Conroy’s seal.
Kamila had assured Jewell that once the shares were in his hands, even if Conroy found out, he wouldn’t be able to do anything to him — not when Jewell was Wyatt’s father and Conroy’s only healthy son.
She had not anticipated that Conroy would walk in and catch Jewell red-handed in the study while he was stealing the seal.
After Conroy’s fall, Kamila’s first reaction had been to shift the blame to Wyatt.
The moment Jewell finished speaking, Conroy snatched the glass from the bedside table and hurled it at him.
Jewell recoiled on instinct, but seeing the fury in Conroy’s eyes, he forced himself not to dodge.
The glass struck his forehead. Blood spilled down immediately. He let out a sharp cry and clutched at the wound, but beneath the pain was a flicker of relief. He thought Conroy’s anger might end with that.
That hope shattered when Conroy said coldly, “From this moment on p>
“From now on, you, Kamila, and your children are to stay away from the Stewart family. Without my permission, none of you are to set foot in Stewart Mansion again p>
“Dad!” Jewell gasped, ignoring the blood running down his face, his eyes wide with panic.
Conroy ignored his plea and continued, “You will also hand over the ten percent of shares you hold to Jaycob p>
