Chapter 75:
Learning the room had been arranged with her in mind, Amelia felt warmth bloom in her chest. She surveyed the space and discovered it had everything she needed. The vanity held her favorite skincare, and the wardrobe was stocked with brands she liked. Only then did it click—Wyatt’s words at the airport made perfect sense. She really didn’t need to prepare anything for this trip.
Rather than thanking him outright, she simply let her happiness show as she took in the room. Wyatt caught the spark in her expression. His eyes softened as he reminded her to get some rest before they headed out, then he gently closed the door behind him.
Alone, Amelia bounced onto the bed, rolling across the covers, light laughter bubbling from her lips. She found herself increasingly satisfied with Wyatt as her future husband. Plans for dinner with Holley’s family drifted through her thoughts, prompting her to jump in the shower so she would look refreshed for the meal.
When she had opened the wardrobe earlier, she hadn’t looked closely. Now she noticed a bottom drawer filled with neatly arranged lingerie. Embarrassment colored her cheeks as she snatched one quickly and closed the drawer, even though she knew it wasn’t Wyatt himself who had arranged such intimate details.
When she reappeared downstairs, she spotted Wyatt and Davin deep in their work, both focused on their laptops, which made her a little uneasy. After all, as Wyatt’s secretary, she was not working. The sound of footsteps made Wyatt glance up instinctively, his eyes lighting when he saw Amelia. She wore a soft beige blouse and a flowing skirt in the same shade, her whole look radiating quiet elegance.
Wyatt had been working while waiting for her. Seeing her come down, he immediately closed his laptop.
Wyatt and Amelia left the house together, a driver taking them to the restaurant. Davin stayed behind.
Holley had arranged the dinner at Moonlit Restaurant, the most renowned restaurant in Prevda. As the car pulled up at the entrance, Amelia and Wyatt encountered Jordy; after a round of greetings, the three of them made their way inside and up the stairs.
The sound of laughter from a young woman spilled into the hall as they approached their private dining room. Jordy’s face tightened at the sound, and he shot Wyatt a quick look. Noticing that Wyatt’s expression didn’t change, Jordy let out the breath he had been holding.
Inside the private room, all conversation stopped as soon as they entered, and the three people already seated rose to their feet. Holley greeted Amelia first, her voice warm and welcoming. “Amelia, it’s wonderful to see you again.”
As Holley received Amelia’s greeting, Wyatt quietly pulled out a chair for her. Curiosity flickered across the faces in the room, each person reacting differently to the gesture. Even though it was simple, it surprised them; Wyatt, the CEO of the Stewart Group, had never done anything like that for anyone.

Amelia didn’t miss their reactions. She had met Holley in Kretol and was familiar with her. When Wyatt greeted Jeffery Green, she followed, learning he was Holley’s husband. Jeffery smiled in return.
When Amelia turned to greet a young woman at the table, she was met with a frosty stare that seemed to chill the room. The sharpness of that look caught her off guard. After all, she was certain this was their very first meeting.
