Chapter 315:
At the abandoned dock in the eastern part of Kretol.
Elmore turned the tiny gold lock pendant over in his palm, examining its weight and shine. Darrion broke the silence. “Mr. Figueroa, now that we know this pendant is authentic, shouldn’t we hurry and deliver it to Hans p>
“You need to go and deliver it personally, and don’t mess this up,” Elmore said.
“Don’t worry. I’ll make sure it gets to your daughter. With this, she’ll finally be accepted as Weston’s daughter. He won’t question her identity anymore,” Darrion said.
Darrion had just finished speaking when someone burst through the door, panting.
“Mr. Figueroa, there are people headed this way p>

“Who even comes here? This dock’s been deserted for years p>
“It’s Wyatt Stewart p>
At those words, Darrion’s face tightened. He turned to Elmore and lowered his voice. “Wyatt’s not the kind of man we want trouble with. Maybe we should avoid him for now p>
Elmore waved his words off, unbothered. “Why worry? Didn’t you already send Ricky away p>
Outside, Wyatt surveyed the scene, eyes narrowing as figures disembarked from a nearby vessel.
After discovering that he had missed this spot, Hiram had wasted no time organizing a team to search here, but Elmore’s people had stopped them before they reached the cabin.
Because of Elmore’s identity, Hiram had no choice but to contact Wyatt directly.
Elmore, stepping outside, took in Wyatt’s bodyguards with a sly glint in his eye, though his smile remained polite. “Quite the entourage, Mr. Stewart. Did I unknowingly cross you p>
Wyatt’s expression stayed calm. “I didn’t realize this abandoned dock was under your management, Mr. Figueroa p>
“I just came here for a bit of fishing,” Elmore replied.
“Are you here to fish, or are you hiding someone?” Wyatt said.
The question wiped the smile clean off Elmore’s face. A shadow passed through his eyes. “Mr. Stewart, I’m not following. What exactly are you suggesting p>
“Don’t worry. Once I find who I’m looking for, you’ll see what I mean.” Wyatt kept his tone casual. With a glance toward Hiram, he signaled his men forward.
Bodyguards surged ahead, flooding the area. The noise drew Darrion out of the cabin, but Elmore stopped him from doing anything.
“Mr. Stewart, maybe the Figueroa name isn’t as weighty as yours, but we still carry influence in Hans. Are you sure you want to pick a fight with my family right now?” Elmore said.
Wyatt’s answer came with a cold grin. “You’ve got it wrong, Mr. Figueroa. You are the one who wants to pick a fight with me, considering what you did p>
Before Elmore could reply, Hiram and his men had already stormed into the cabin to search.
Ten minutes ticked by before Hiram reappeared, his face dark. “Mr. Stewart, he’s not here p>
A glint of sarcasm danced in Elmore’s eyes. “It seems p>
“We’ve found him!” a voice suddenly interjected.
The group turned toward the docks, spotting a three-story yacht and a small boat. Ricky had left on that boat earlier.
Seeing that, Elmore realized what Wyatt had orchestrated — the whole show of force was a diversion, while Wyatt had already arranged for people to set sail and chase after Ricky.
Elmore tried to say something, but Wyatt cut him off coldly, saying, “Save your explanations for the police, Mr. Figueroa p>
Right then, the distant wail of police sirens echoed.
When the yacht finally reached the dock, Davin stepped off first, wearing a satisfied grin. Behind him, a group of bodyguards escorted Ricky out.
