Together, Yelena and Austin took the kittens to the local vet clinic, where they were bathed, examined, and given the care they deserved. Both kittens were pristine, dewormed, and up-to-date on vaccinations—clearly recently abandoned.
The kittens were spotless and gorgeous, with big, dewy eyes that melted hearts instantly. Even the veterinarians at the clinic couldn’t help but fawn over them.
After leaving the clinic, Yelena and Austin officially adopted the kittens.
“My house is almost done with renovations,” Austin said with a grin.
“Would you like to come over and see if it matches your vision p>

John watched them, a small smile tugging at the corners of his lips. Maybe Austin was finally getting the hang of things.
Surprisingly, Austin glanced his way the next second, a hint of warning crystal clear in his eyes.
John caught the look in Austin’s eyes—it was unmistakable. Austin clearly wanted some time alone with Yelena.
Swiftly, John excused himself with a forced smile. “Sorry, got some things to handle. I’ll catch you later p>

Yelena stepped into the villa behind Austin. It was her first time there, and the layout felt strangely familiar, almost reminiscent of the Harris family estate.
Before starting the design, Austin had hired professional surveyors to take exact measurements, which he handed over to Yelena. Thanks to that, Yelena crafted a design that fit seamlessly—without ever stepping foot inside the villa.
Yelena cradled her kitten, Aus, who nestled quietly in her arms despite the clamor of ongoing renovations. Its tiny eyelids fluttered as though the noise around it were nothing more than a distant lullaby. Yelena thought it was impressive how calm the kitten was, able to sleep soundly despite the noise surrounding it.
The pair explored every corner of the villa, from the airy upstairs to the bustling downstairs.
Most of the renovations had stayed true to Yelena’s design, save for a few subtle tweaks.
“This bit’s different. It wasn’t in my original plan.” Yelena paused in front of one section, her brow furrowing slightly.
Austin raised an eyebrow, surprised at her sharp eye.

“Actually, no,” Yelena admitted. “It’s better this way. Did the workers improvise, or was this someone else’s doing p>
“Neither,” Austin said with a faint smile. “I asked for the adjustment myself—it fits my habits better this way p>
Yelena gave a small nod, taken aback by Austin’s knack for design. If he was this attuned to detail, why had he even needed her input in the first place?
