Chapter 816
Chapter 816:
“Okay, thanks, Yelena. I’m heading up now,” Colden replied.
“Okay, but please be careful,” Yelena cautioned.
Colden noticed that Yelena seemed tense, as if something wasn’t quite right. “Is something wrong? Do you need help?” he asked cautiously.
Yelena realized that Colden was sharp enough to sense her unease. She then told him the truth, though not in full detail—just that she suspected the murderer might still be in the hotel and advised him to be cautious.
Colden didn’t seem frightened. “Okay, I will be,” he said confidently.
Both Colden and Yelena had been trained by the same teacher. Though Colden’s combat skills weren’t as refined as Yelena’s, he was still more than capable of handling himself against most threats. Yelena wasn’t overly concerned.
Colden waited for the elevator on the ground floor. When the doors opened, two tall men in masks and baseball caps rushed out. They were in a hurry and accidentally bumped into Colden.
Colden was texting his manager, Pearson, when he suddenly felt a tug on his collar. His body was jerked forward, and he was quickly dragged away.
Turning in confusion, Colden saw Yelena staring at the two men, her expression serious and focused.
Yelena whispered to Colden, “Head upstairs now p>
A sudden realization hit Colden, and his expression shifted in an instant. “Yelena, those two…” he whispered.
Just then, the sounds of a struggle echoed nearby. Austin and John were already locked in a fight with the two men.

John grabbed one man’s jacket and yanked it sharply. The jacket tore, revealing a blood-soaked shirt underneath. Their suspicions were confirmed.
Yelena and Colden rushed to join the fight.
The two men were decent fighters against average opponents, but they stood no chance against Yelena and her group. They were quickly overpowered and restrained.
Yelena pinned one of the men down by stepping on his chest. She grabbed his hair and forced him to meet her gaze. “Are there others with you p>
“No, just the two of us,” he responded.
“Tell me the truth!” Yelena pressed.
“It’s really just the two of us,” he insisted.
Meanwhile, Austin and John interrogated the second man, receiving the same answer.
“Why did you kill them?” Yelena demanded.
“We initially argued because he scolded my sister after she complained about his smoking. He nearly hit her. She was so upset that she asked him to stop, but he wouldn’t listen. He pulled out a knife and threatened us. His wife tried to intervene. Fearing the knife might harm us, we tried to disarm him, and then…” The man trailed off.
“People are already dead. Your story is just one side of it,” Yelena interrupted coldly.
She instructed Austin and John to hold the men, and immediately called Cayson.
