All three glasses had looked identical, and the way Yelena had handed the drugged one to Bella had seemed perfectly natural at the time.
How had Yelena figured it out?
Bella had been told the drug was colorless and smelled faintly fruity, which was why she had specifically chosen freshly squeezed juice.
But now, in the heat of the moment, Bella realized—no plan was truly foolproof. Things rarely go as expected, no matter how carefully they were set up. Her anger reached a boiling point.
Yelena’s lips curled into a small, mocking smile, her eyes gleaming with satisfaction.
She hadn’t done anything but return the favor, giving Bella a taste of her own medicine and letting her face the fallout of her own actions.
Yelena spoke with quiet authority, her voice steady but firm. “So, you made a mistake, you apologized, and that’s it? Do you realize the damage this could do to a girl’s reputation and her future? I think we should report this to the police. If we don’t, even the resort’s reputation could be at risk. Who would want to take a vacation here knowing there could be dangerous individuals roaming around?” Her tone was unwavering.
Donna, agreeing with Yelena, nodded sharply. “Absolutely. We can’t just let this slide. Who knows if this person will show up again and harass other guests p>
Bella, hearing that, felt a wave of panic flood over her. The thought of involving the police made her stomach drop. The last thing she wanted was for her scheming to come to light.
She quickly blurted out, “Mom, please don’t call the police. How could I ever face anyone again if this gets out? I already feel like I can’t go on after what happened. Just let him go. I don’t ever want to see him again p>
As she spoke, Bella wrapped her arms around herself tightly, her face twisted in distress. The incident had shaken her to her core, leaving her feeling utterly broken.

The man, sensing the shift, quickly added, “I really did enter the wrong room. I swear, it won’t happen again. I’m so sorry.” Seeing no further opposition, he hurriedly put on his clothes, practically running out of the room.
Bella let out a soft sigh of relief and then faked a few sobs, her voice thick with emotion. “I’m so sorry for causing such a scene p>
But Katelyn wasn’t quite convinced. She furrowed her brows and pressed, “Bella, something doesn’t add up p>
“Didn’t Bernice just mention Yelena wasn’t feeling well? How did it end up being you p>
Bella paused, caught off guard for a moment, before answering, “After the hot spring, I started feeling dizzy and unwell, so I thought I’d rest for a bit p>
“Maybe you stayed in too long, or the water was too hot,” Katelyn concluded.
“Probably. I wasn’t paying attention. I’ll be more careful next time,” Bella murmured, keeping her eyes down to avoid showing how uneasy she still was.
The truth was, she still felt like her body was on fire. She needed a cold shower to cool down.
