Katelyn’s face clouded over as realization struck like a bolt from the blue.
The Harris family had always upheld their moral standards with an iron grip, and something like this was completely out of line. Without a second thought, Katelyn plucked the key card from Bernice’s trembling fingers and slid it into the lock.
As the door swung open, the scene inside floored both Katelyn and Donna.
Two people were tangled up on the bed, their clothes still mostly intact—though just barely.
The sudden intrusion jolted the pair inside back to their senses. Bella, wide-eyed and disoriented, shot up the moment the door opened, her cheeks still flushed.
Her gaze shifted to the doorway, where Katelyn and the others stood frozen, their expressions a mixture of shock and disapproval.
Just as Bella opened her mouth to ask what was going on, her eyes landed on the man beside her.
She gasped loudly, clutching the blanket to her chest in a desperate attempt at modesty.
A shiver ran down her spine as she realized she was clad in nothing but her underwear.
Panic surged through her, and her thoughts spiraled. What on earth was happening?
This wasn’t supposed to happen! Where was that scheming Yelena?
Donna, witnessing the scandalous scene, staggered, almost fainting from the shock.

The man, visibly flustered and fearing the worst, stammered as he tried to explain. “I—I must’ve entered the wrong room,” he blurted out. “I’m here on vacation. It was just a mistake!” His words tumbled over each other, nervous and desperate. Bound by a sense of professional secrecy, he dared not expose who had orchestrated this.
After all, nothing improper had occurred before the door flew open, so he clung to the hope that his blunder wouldn’t land him in hot water.

As Bella’s eyes locked on Yelena, standing in the doorway with an unsettling calm, fury flared up inside her.
It was clear now—Yelena had orchestrated this whole thing. It had to have been Yelena who had switched the drinks after fabricating that story about a snake in the hot spring.
Bella had unknowingly ended up with the drugged drink.
