Yelena and Bernice turned toward the voice and saw a stylish-looking girl standing with her chin lifted high. And judging from the impatient look on her face, she clearly wasn’t in the mood to wait.
Lyla gave Yelena and Bernice an apologetic smile before quickly hurrying over to her friend, Hana Morris.
“Why are you so slow? If you want to get ahead, you need to expand your social circle and meet influential people. Don’t waste time talking to those who can’t afford this place but still come in here pretending they can p>
Hana paused briefly before adding, “Let’s go. It’s time to check out.” As Hana briefly glanced at Yelena and Bernice, her eyes conveyed a clear disdain, as if silently labeling them as utterly insignificant.
Bernice could feel her anger boiling over. Hana was practically dressed head-to-toe in knockoffs, with only her designer handbag standing out as genuine. What was so impressive about her? How dare she look down on Bernice and Yelena?
“Don’t stop me, Yelena. I’m going over there to give her a piece of my mind!” Bernice said, her voice filled with anger.

Determined not to let Yelena think less of her, Bernice marched over to Lyla and Hana.
At that moment, Bernice saw Lyla take out a card and hand it to the saleswoman. “I’ll take care of the bill p>
When Hana saw the black card Lyla handed over, her eyes immediately lit up with excitement and anticipation.
Bernice’s expression darkened as she walked over to Lyla. “Lyla, is this card yours or hers p>

“Did she borrow money from you to buy a handbag, or are you just buying it for her p>
Lyla opened her mouth to speak, but before she could, Hana cut in sharply. “What’s it to you? Why are you so nosy? Just go away!” Hana, clearly irritated, shoved Bernice. Taken off guard by the girl’s rudeness, Bernice stumbled backward. Fortunately, Yelena quickly stepped in to steady her.
“Are you alright?” Yelena asked.
Bernice’s face was pale as she shook her head. “I’m fine p>
Though she wasn’t physically hurt, the sudden shove had left her rattled, a lingering fear gnawing at her.
