Sitting in Cayson’s car, Jarvis felt uneasy and out of place. He looked around and noted the interior’s stark absence of personal touches—it felt cold and utilitarian. With Cayson right beside him, Jarvis couldn’t even distract himself with his phone, so he resorted to gazing out the window. The drive seemed endless, but they finally arrived at the Harris family residence. Jarvis felt a wave of relief wash over him, like stepping out of a confining space. If he had to endure much more time in that car, he felt he might really suffocate.
The instant Jarvis swung open the car door, he took off as if flames were licking at his heels. He vanished into the mansion within seconds, as though fleeing from some terrifying creature.
From behind, Cayson watched Jarvis’ swift departure, his face a mix of cold sternness and layered emotions. It was deliberate on Cayson’s part. He intended to assert his dominance and remind Jarvis of his place.
“Grandma!” The moment Jarvis saw Elianna, it was as if he had found his salvation. He sprinted toward her.
Elianna’s face lit up with delight at the sight of him, overjoyed by her grandson’s return.
“Come here, let me get a good look at you. You look like you’ve lost weight,” she said, her voice tinged with concern.

It was purely coincidental that we all ended up running into each other at the mall together at that time.” Indeed, not just Bella, but Callum, Donna, and other family members had been there as well.
