The leader grinned, misreading Yelena’s response as compliance.
“Great,” he said, his hand reaching out toward Yelena’s face, expecting no resistance as he imagined how soft her skin would feel.
Before the man’s hand could even reach Yelena’s face, he screamed in agony. Yelena had swiftly grabbed his hand and twisted it, forcing him into a painful position that made him feel as if his hand might snap.
At first, when Yelena touched him, he thought she was being forward, expecting a fun night. But that illusion quickly turned to regret.
“Boss!” he cried out.
His cohorts rushed to his aid, but Yelena was quicker. She kicked them away before they could even reach her.
“Help!” Tessa suddenly shouted as she was caught by the man’s minions. Without hesitation, Yelena sprinted toward Tessa, delivering a swift kick to her captor.
Just as she turned to check on Tessa, another attacker approached from behind. Yelena attempted to dodge, but was clipped by a baseball bat. Though she managed to avoid a direct hit, the sharp pain still surged through her.
But the pain only fueled her resolve. If these attackers were looking for trouble, she would give them more than they bargained for.
Yelena fought with full force, her punches and kicks quickly subduing the attackers. Just then, the police arrived—summoned by Tessa moments earlier—and swiftly arrested the men who were now sprawled on the ground.
Tessa noticed Yelena’s red and swollen hand immediately.
Knowing how much Yelena relied on her right hand for both work and daily activities, Tessa’s heart sank.
“Yelena, I’m sorry. If it weren’t for my carelessness, you wouldn’t have been hurt,” Tessa said, guilt evident in her voice.

She retrieved some medicine from her purse, and Tessa quickly helped her apply the treatment.
After the medicine was applied, the swelling and redness miraculously subsided. “Is this for real?” Tessa asked in disbelief, having never witnessed such a rapid recovery.
“See? I told you it wasn’t serious,” Yelena said with a reassuring smile.
Relieved, Tessa nodded, happy to see Yelena’s hand improving.
“Ma’am, I’m sorry about the damage to your business. I’ll cover the costs,” Yelena told the food stall owner, gesturing toward the broken tables and chairs.
