Yelena, unbothered by his antics, reached into her purse and pulled out a small bag. Opening it, she revealed a beautiful piece of ginseng. Leo leaned closer, his expression quickly turning to ridicule.

The relatives burst into laughter, their mockery echoing through the room. Jack’s gaze hardened. “That’s enough!” he said sharply. “I don’t care about the price of a gift. Anything from Yelena is meaningful to me p>
Yelena remained calm and addressed the old man with a small smile. “Great-Uncle Jack, this is a top-tier ginseng, really good for your health. You can brew tea or make soup with it, whichever way you like p>
Her explanation downplayed the herb. In truth, it was exceptionally rare and invaluable.

Her sincerity eased Jack’s hesitation, and he smiled. “In that case, I’ll gladly accept it p>

Leo sneered, dismissing the threat. He thought Yelena was just bluffing.
“I won’t pick it up. What are you going to do? Hit me?” He figured that no matter how tough she acted, Yelena was still a woman and couldn’t possibly handle a strong grown man like him.
To his shock, as soon as he finished speaking, Yelena struck him with a resounding slap. The sharp crack of her hand against his face sent his head snapping to the side.
