Yelena had sensed an odd dynamic between Austin and John since the moment she got into the car. When she tried to probe, they simply brushed it off, maintaining their usual calm facade.
“If you’re tired, you can sleep in the car. I’ll wake you up when we arrive,” Austin said.

Yelena noticed the change and felt puzzled. She had rushed to finish the design drawings, expecting him to be pleased. Surprisingly, Austin seemed more displeased than happy.

Yelena was exhausted and barely had an appetite. She casually grabbed a sandwich and took a few bites before closing her eyes.
John had initially planned to use the moment to say something kind about Austin. However, he suddenly felt an intense, piercing gaze focused on him. John glanced in the rearview mirror and caught sight of Austin’s intense gaze, sharp enough to cut him in half with just a glance.
John let out an awkward laugh and, with all seriousness, pretended to be busy driving.
Through the rearview mirror, he saw Yelena, her eyes closed and appearing to be asleep.
It was at that moment that John had an epiphany. So, that was it.
At first, Yelena had simply decided to rest her eyes. Gradually, however, she drifted into a deep sleep, finding a comfortable position and leaning against the man next to her, sleeping soundly.
Seeing she was asleep, Austin told John to drive more slowly and smoothly.
