The crowd fell silent. It was the first time these Harris women had seen Yelena speak with such cold, unyielding authority. She seemed almost unfamiliar, yet her poise exuded an air of unshakable confidence, undeterred by the thugs before her.
“What? Are you threatening us? Do you have any idea who we are? I’m here for Yelena, and I’m not leaving without her!” one of the thugs sneered.
“What? Didn’t your boss send you with a photo? You can’t even recognize the person standing right in front of you?” Yelena raised an eyebrow, her tone dripping with mockery.
It was clear someone was trying to set her up.
Yelena’s mind raced with the absurdity of it all. These two had the nerve to come to her home, pretending to be her boyfriend while they didn’t even know what she looked like? Who did they think they were? Even if she were blind, there was no chance she’d ever go out with someone like them.
The two men’s expressions soured, realizing they’d walked into a trap. They hadn’t bothered to check the details, just took the job for the money, assuming it would be easy. They hadn’t expected there to be multiple girls of the same age in the Harris family. Now, they were left completely clueless.
“Leave now, or you’ll regret it. And by the way, I’m Yelena. Are you sure you’re my boyfriend?” Yelena’s voice was cold, unyielding.
The two men faltered. One of them stuttered, “Yes, yes, it’s you. We came to find you. We didn’t expect you to turn your back on us after returning to the Harris family. You weren’t like this when we were together. Now that you have money, are you pretending not to know us p>

But before his hand could even touch her, Yelena seized it in a swift, practiced motion, twisting it with such force that it was as if her grip had shattered his wrist.
