Megan’s eyes darted around anxiously. Suddenly, she spotted Yelena in the distance, stretching as if preparing for a run. Yelena’s gaze appeared to be directed toward them.
Panic surged through Megan. She quickly hushed Harold. “Stop talking nonsense and keep your voice down! What if someone hears us? I saw that Harris daughter who just returned to the family. You’d better leave now. We can talk later p>
Harold, though clearly unwilling, clenched his jaw and stepped away.
“Tell her to have the money ready, or I won’t let this slide p>
Harold finally left, and Megan breathed a sigh of relief.
She had planned to head back but then remembered that Yelena was still there. Megan approached her and greeted, “Good morning, Miss Yelena p>
Yelena glanced at her briefly, her expression flat, and replied, “Good morning p>
Megan was momentarily taken aback. Yelena’s calm demeanor somehow gave her an uneasy feeling.
Before she could say anything more, Yelena had finished her warm-up and started jogging.
Yelena typically ran for an hour, and with it being six o’clock, she would finish around seven. Afterward, she would shower, relax for a bit, and have breakfast with her family before heading to work.
When Yelena completed one lap and returned to where she started, she saw Megan still standing in the same spot.
A frown crossed Yelena’s face. Just as she was about to keep running, Megan suddenly stepped in her way.
Megan was frightened, afraid Yelena would bump into her, but she pushed through her fear for Bella’s sake and moved forward. They almost crashed, but Yelena’s quick reflexes prevented it. Even though Yelena had completed one lap, it was barely a challenge for her, so she wasn’t winded at all.

Without another word, Yelena stepped around Megan and continued her run.
Megan, now relieved, made her way back into the house.
