Bella, too, was stunned, struggling to wrap her mind around the idea that Yelena’s diagnosis, made simply by feeling a pulse, could actually be accurate. It was almost inconceivable. Just from feeling a pulse? It seemed impossible, almost like something out of a fantasy.
Yelena, however, remained calm. Glancing at Katelyn, she said in a measured tone, “It’s not too late for surgery. Before it spreads further, consult Doctor Donovan Salazar at Eighfast Hospital. He’s a leading expert in this field and has an impeccable success rate with such procedures p>
Katelyn blinked, caught off guard by the suggestion. Her emotions swirled—gratitude, hesitation, and a lingering sense of disbelief.
Deep down, though, she knew she owed Yelena a debt of thanks. If not for her warning, the disease might have gone unnoticed until it was far too late.
“I’ve already looked him up online. Dr. Salazar is renowned, no doubt, but getting an appointment with him is next to impossible. People from all over the country seek him out. I’m not sure I’ll be able to secure a spot,” Katelyn admitted hesitantly.
She wasn’t sure if she’d be able to secure an appointment with Donovan.
Yelena’s expression remained unreadable. “Go to the hospital tomorrow and speak to him directly. He’ll take your case,” she assured, her voice carrying quiet authority. Her willingness to help Katelyn was for Callum’s sake.
The surgery didn’t need her involvement. Donovan was a master in his field, and this was his area of expertise.
