“Bexley Bernard from our design department,” Tessa replied.
Bexley was known to be close with Bella and Madonna, often following their lead. Normally, such behavior wouldn’t be tolerated, but because of her connection to Bella, Lynn had reluctantly overlooked it.
Yelena nodded. “That must be it. We can almost close the case p>
“They’re too much! Why would they do this to us?” Tessa exclaimed. “If we secure Frieda’s order, it benefits the company, doesn’t it p>
Yelena said, “They’re selfish and only think about themselves. Not everyone is pleased when others succeed p>
Tessa absorbed Yelena’s insight, vowing to be more vigilant in the future.

Yelena reassured her. “It’s not your fault. Even if you hadn’t had that coffee, they would have found another way to get to you. Remember, we all ended up stuck in the elevator p>

Yelena said, “We’re running out of time. Frieda might be heading to the airport. Let’s try to catch her there p>
“But the airport is so big. How will we find her?” Tessa asked, her worry evident.

The girl eagerly explained to the woman beside her, “Mom, this is the lady who gave me the medicine and helped me breathe easier. I felt much better because of her pill p>
The mother, turning towards Yelena, expressed her gratitude, saying, “Thank you for helping my daughter.” Her expression remained cautious.

The mother then inquired, “How come you had such specific medication? Do you suffer from asthma too?” Such a question was typical under the circumstances; she was likely probing Yelena’s intentions.

The mother’s demeanor grew more solemn. She instructed her daughter, “Sweetie, can you run along and buy some coffee for us? Bring back a cup for each of these kind ladies as a thank you p>
Obediently, the girl said to Yelena, “Please wait here,” before dashing off.
Once her daughter was out of earshot, the mother’s tone turned cold. “Now, tell me what you really want.” Tessa was taken aback by the sudden change in the woman’s attitude. Yelena had just helped her daughter, yet the mother’s demeanor shifted dramatically when her daughter wasn’t looking. Tessa wondered, what could she possibly suspect about Yelena?
Tessa opened her mouth to respond, but Yelena gently silenced her.
Addressing the woman, Yelena said, “Ms. Morphew, I assure you there were no ulterior motives when I assisted your daughter. I always carry some medication for personal use, and I owe you no explanation for it. However, I’ve noticed your health might be at risk.
