Turning to Donna, Yelena gently clasped her hand. “Mom, let’s go have some fun,” she said, her voice softening.
Feeling the calluses on Yelena’s hand, Donna’s heart sank. She couldn’t help but ponder the hardships Yelena must have endured with the Roberts family to have such worn hands. That wretched Roberts family!
Back at the Roberts household, Jonathan, lounging comfortably, suddenly sneezed loudly.
He rubbed his nose, puzzled, and muttered, “Odd… is someone talking about me behind my back?” Tatiana gave him a sharp look, as if scolding him without speaking.
Their lives had turned into a nightmare, hounded by debt collectors so relentlessly that they had to hide themselves, too afraid to even turn on a light at night.
Just the night before, Tatiana had slipped in the shower and injured her tailbone, leaving her bedridden and unable to move. Adding insult to injury, the ambulance’s arrival had turned into a spectacle for their gated community.

Callum and Cayson, watching from nearby, let out a mutual sigh of disappointment.
