“How are you so calm right now? I’m about to have a meltdown! It’s a piano performance, for crying out loud!” Erica was now in full-on panic mode.
“Don’t worry. It’s just a piano performance. If my name really is on the list, then I’ll just get up there and perform,” Yelena said, her tone calm and collected.
“What?” Erica’s eyes widened in disbelief. “Do you… do you know how to play the piano p>
Yelena simply nodded. “Yes, I used to play p>
Erica was taken aback. Yelena could play the piano? She hadn’t expected that.
For a moment, Erica just stood there, processing the surprise.
But seeing Yelena so calm and unruffled put her mind at ease. Erica’s curiosity piqued, and she suddenly found herself eager to see Yelena’s piano skills in action.
Yelena always had this mysterious, understated air about her, but now Erica was certain that Yelena was about to leave everyone in awe.
Knowing she had to perform later, Yelena wasted no time and immediately called Brody, instructing him to deliver an outfit to Kheley University as quickly as possible. She was about to take the stage to play the piano, and everything had to be perfect.
Brody, always on top of things, understood immediately. He had handled all of Yelena’s performance attire, and the company always had everything prepared. Without hesitation, he sprang into action to make sure the outfit was delivered on time.
Meanwhile, Yelena and Erica made their way backstage to prepare. Wanting to look her best, Yelena decided to apply makeup to achieve a polished, professional look for the stage.
Upon entering the dressing room, they found Bella already finished, her makeup applied flawlessly, making her appear both striking and confident. Bella turned toward Yelena, a sly grin spreading across her face.
“Yelena, what are you waiting for? You have a performance too, don’t you?” she asked, her voice tinged with a barely concealed sense of schadenfreude. It was clear she was anticipating a show—one she was eager to watch unfold. If Yelena didn’t go on stage, all her preparations would have been for nothing.

“Very well. Then make sure you clean your ears and listen carefully,” Yelena responded with a composed smile.
“Sure,” Bella replied, her forced smile betraying her true feelings.
She turned to leave, inwardly brimming with disdain. Humph! Yelena was obviously putting up an act! There was no way someone like Yelena could possibly have any real piano training. Playing the piano took true talent, and Bella was certain Yelena didn’t have it.
Bella, on the other hand, had poured countless hours into her piano practice, spending a significant amount of money only to find the best tutors. Yet, tonight, she had no intention of performing on the piano—her self-confidence just wasn’t high enough for that. Instead, she’d chosen a solo dance, something she knew she could master and shine at.
