To further ensure everyone’s safety, Cayson planned to position bodyguards outside all rooms. However, Bella had no intention of convincing Yelena to remain behind. Bella secretly hoped that Yelena would foolishly follow Cayson into danger. In her mind, the worst outcome for Yelena would be something terrible happening to her—ideally, even her death.
“Cayson, you know how stubborn Yelena is. She won’t listen to me,” Bella said, feigning concern.
Cayson frowned, fully aware of Yelena’s strong-willed nature. “Bella, if you’re not scared of dying, then stay here with us,” Yelena said mockingly.
Bella was horrified. The last thing she wanted was to put herself in danger; she only wished harm upon Yelena. Quickly, Bella told Cayson to stay safe and then claimed she needed to update Callum on the situation before hurriedly walking away.
Watching Bella leave, Yelena didn’t get angry. Instead, she laughed. Yelena felt a sense of relief when Bella left. She found Bella’s presence more disturbing than helpful.
