From the sidelines, Donna observed the scene, convinced that Cayson’s exaggerated reaction was meant to spare her further embarrassment.
As the moving continued, Donna stealthily attempted to pick up Yelena’s bag. Not anticipating its weight, Donna was unable to lift it and almost hurt her back in the process.
Shocked, Donna realized the bag was indeed as heavy as Yelena had claimed. Though curious about the bag’s contents, Donna resisted the urge to peek inside.
“Yelena, is this the only piece of luggage you have? No other bags?” Donna inquired.
She tried to remember if Yelena had more bags when she first arrived at the Harris household. Despite the length of her stay, it seemed Yelena still traveled light. This was in stark contrast to Donna, whose numerous outfits required multiple trips by the movers.
“No, I have plenty of clothes,” Yelena responded.
She almost added that those clothes weren’t important enough to pack. However, considering that many were gifts from Callum and Donna, she refrained, not wanting to hurt Donna’s feelings.
Just as they were leaving, Yelena reached for her bag, but Cayson picked it up first. Yelena eyed the bag in Cayson’s grasp, hesitating.

“Just some stuff,” Yelena answered vaguely.
Sensing her reluctance to discuss further, Cayson didn’t push the issue.
As they stepped outside, a car that looked like Austin’s drove past. Yelena paused, momentarily thinking it was his car, but soon dismissed the thought. How could it be Austin? He didn’t even live here!
Without lingering on it, she proceeded with the move. Despite the proximity of the two houses, the Harris family had accumulated much over the years, prolonging the moving process.
Once settled, Donna felt a sense of relief, as if a burden had been lifted. Yelena retreated to her room, presumably to work, so Donna left her undisturbed.

Her interaction with Austin the day before had been brief, but it gave her a good grasp of his vision, which helped her sketch more fluidly. She only paused when Donna came to her door, and Yelena realized it was already lunchtime.
