Yelena continued on her way with Cayson, not once looking back. Austin watched her walk away, noticing the confidence in her step and the clear absence of doubt or hesitation.
Austin chuckled quietly to himself, lifting his hand to rub the furrow in his brow. He couldn’t help but feel amused by the recent twists in his life.
“Why did you come back so quickly?” Maggie asked Austin, her tone tinged with disappointment. Shouldn’t Austin have been out there, developing a relationship with Yelena?

Monica’s eyes fixed on Austin, expecting him to catch her drift.
Just then, Maggie interjected enthusiastically, “Indeed, I also think Yelena is exceptional. She started small, and now she’s achieved so much. She must have overcome many obstacles.” Maggie’s sympathetic expression made Monica pause.
This was not the reaction she had hoped for. She wanted Maggie to see that Yelena’s accomplishments were too good to be true, not to sympathize with her.
