Chapter 21
Kaia’s POV
(Matured scene…nothing serious p>
Our lips met in a soft, gentle kiss. It felt like time had stopped.
Kieran’s lips were warm and inviting. It was better than anything I’d imagined… way better. I felt myself melting into his touch. His hand wrapped around my hair, tugging it back but not in the way that hurts. His other hand cups the back of my neck, easily holding me in place.
I kiss him back and he lets out a groan, pushing his tongue past my lips when I part them for him. It slides against mine in a way that I’ve never experienced. He knew exactly what he was doing. I let out a loud moan…good thing no other room was beside ours.
He tilted his head, deepening our kiss and I wrapped my hand around him, pulling him closer and he obliged, his body pressing against mine. He let out another growl as his hand caressed my body, stopping on my waist, sending shivers down my spine.
His lips left mine, trailing kisses on my neck and sucking hard where his mark was going to lie, letting another moan escape my lips.
“Fuck! You’re perfect!” He growled, his voice was low and husky. His eyes filled with desire. “I’ve always wanted to do that.” He said.
I immediately missed the feeling of his lips on mine and I fought to hide the disappointment that we stopped.
“He’s struggling to hold back just as much, but with everything that happened today, he’s giving us time to take things in…but it better happen soon if not, I’m jumping that Lylah’s voice rang in my head. I cut her off before she could finish what she had in mind.
“I’ve always wanted you to do that.” I told him.
He cups my face one more time as he places a kiss on my lips.
My insides were a mess, it was like a string of fireworks released at once. I
couldn’t believe I even waited this long for this to happen.
He sat beside me, holding my hand, his eyes not leaving mine. “You have no idea how happy I am that you trusted me enough to let me in p>
“You didn’t give me a reason not to. ” And it was true. Everything he does when it involves me, was enough to make me see him in a different light from what I initially thought of him.
Resting my head against his body, while he rested against the bed frame, I listened to him talk and for the most part, I couldn’t make sense of what he was saying as I was relishing in the feeling of being held and if he noticed, he didn’t point it out.
We lay down for almost an hour, just enjoying each other’s presence. The fact that just a few hours ago, I was recounting the part of my life that gave me nightmares was quickly forgotten as I laughed without a care in the world.
Our moment came to an end when my stomach growled loudly, reminding me that
I haven’t eaten anything since we went to the mall.
“That wasn’t me.” I lied, hiding my face in his chest.
He let out a chuckle, “Of course not, Bella. But I’m still going to feed you before that happens p>
I nodded shyly. He stood up, and I missed the warmth his body provided me with.
Once he was gone, I prepared a bath for myself for the first time, since Maria would normally do it before waking me up and Kieran does it whenever I felt like taking a birth.
Putting my hair in a bun and wearing a cap over it, I wrapped my towel around my chest before entering the bathroom and into the bathtub.
I could still feel the tingles of Kieran’s hands left against my skin.
Once I was done, I tied my towel again and went to my closet to pick something out. I thought of wearing part of the new ones we just got, but they were probably still with the girls, so I settled for a pair of shorts and a camisole.
Kieran opened the door just as I finished getting ready and the smell of bacon hit my nose, earning another growl from my stomach.
“This one is definitely me.” I laughed. But Kieran remained in his spot, his eyes roaming my body. His grip on the tray tightened.
I swallowed hard, he wasn’t touching me and yet I was already turned on.
“S-should I change into something else?” I asked, and that snapped him out of it.
His brows furrow in confusion, “and why the fuck will you do that p>
Moving towards me, he placed the tray carefully on the bed. Then he turned to me, a hungry look in his eyes. Both his thumbs brushed softly against my cheeks, as he bent down to meet my eyes.
“You look amazing and will look even better in less clothing my face burned from how hard I was blushing, “but now, I really want to feed you dinner. I have the perfect idea for dessert though p>
“I’m all for skipping dinner right now.” I thought.
He just laughed and took me to the bed. “We don’t want your stomach crying to be fed, so we p>
“I said that out loud, didn’t I p>
“You did.” He replied, his laughter becoming even louder.
“I’m glad one of us finds it funny.” I murmured.
He put a plate in front of me, but he still ended up feeding me half of his own. So I
did the same thing, feeding him mine.
It was just the both of us, no interruptions and it was perfect.
Kieran mind-linked Maria who cleared the dishes. I made myself feel in his arms, while he played with my hair, stroking it softly. Nothing else mattered and I tried not to think of anything else and just enjoyed the moment.
As I drifted off to sleep, Kieran’s arms enveloped me in a warm, comforting embrace. Lylah purrs in contentment.
Unlike other times when I wake up alone on the bed, Kieran was still holding me when I woke up the next morning. I turned to face him as softly as I could to avoid waking him. It was unfair how handsome he looked while sleeping, his eyelashes put mine to shame even when I tried.
I ran my fingers through his hair and then picked his lips lightly but he held me in place, as he deepened the kiss, a smile playing on his lips, catching me by surprise.
“You’re supposed to still be asleep.” I murmured.
“I was, until you turned. Good morning, Bella.” He greeted me, kissing me again.
“I could get used to this p>
“Don’t you have to be in your office p>
He shook his head, “I’m right where I should be.” We remained in that position since he wasn’t complaining.
“What do you want to do today?” He asked me.
“Umm…I’m going to help out with the kids. I like them. And Bailey has forgiven me for taking you away p>
He raised his eyebrows, “is that so? How did you manage to convince her p>
I cleared my throat, while biting back a smile, “I may or may not have promised her that we can share…only until she finds her mate though p>
His face became so serious, that I thought I’d done something wrong, “maybe it’s time to tell you that I don’t share.” He said, leaning in for a kiss and I closed my eyes in anticipation but nothing came. Instead, I felt his hand by my side as he began to tickle me.
A loud laugh left my lips as I tried to escape but his strong hand kept me in place.
“I belong to you alone.” He was right, he is mine and mine alone.
