Chapter 125
(There is a change of POV in this chapter)
Nessa’s POV
A loud scream escaped my lips as my hand tugged at my hair. “Why the fuck did it not work?” I thought, “It was supposed to.” Getting her out of the way was supposed to be easier now that Alpha Kieran wasn’t here.
“What’s wrong, Zara?” My adoptive mom asked, running into my room.
My eyes darkened, “don’t fucking call me that and get out!” I growled. She froze, but she knew better than to argue with me when I was angry.
The first step was done, Felix showing himself in front of her, to throw them off balance which he did and I wished I saw the look on their faces when they saw him. Getting her out of the picture was supposed to be next, but with that Beta always beside her, it was harder than I planned for.
“Young lady,” my adoptive Dad started, coming into the room, a stern look on his face. He was a clown if he thought that was going to work. “You will not talk to your mom that way p>
I stood up, a smile playing on the corner of my lips. “I think you’ve forgotten who you’re talking to, Dad.” I told him, stretching my hand towards him, and cast a spell to stop air from flowing. His hand immediately held his neck as he struggled to breath.
“You are the reason I’m in this situation, if you have kept your mouth shut p>
“I-I’m s-sorry he apologized, gasping. “P-Please l-let m-me p>
“Now, if you want to live, don’t disturb me and leave me the fuck alone p>
He nodded furiously and I undid the spell. I watched as he scrambled away. That would teach him a lesson that he wouldn’t forget in a hurry.
I went back to the table that contained most of my spells, I didn’t have time to be sad over one failed level when I could derive another one. Felix was going to be mad no doubt but that serves him right for being so interested in getting Kaia for himself than the revenge.
The potions I have been working on were almost ready, everything had been mixed; the silver dust, lunar petals, wolfsbane and even full moon ash. What was left was the tears of a matured witch and the hair of a werewolf…but that wasn’t difficult to get. And my birthday was fast approaching, so Felix can fuck off. I would take care of everything myself and then begin the search for my parents.
“Let’s go get our werewolf hair…a half Lycan was even better.” I thought, as I left the room and out of the house.
The journey to Felix’s place didn’t take long and the moment I opened the door, he let out a furious growl.
“How can you fail to get her out of the pack?” He asked, voice loud and I’m sure his men could hear us.
“There’s a stupid Beta around her p>
“Then kill him! It’s not your first time killing a werewolf.” He said and I rolled my eyes.
“He’s a Beta and some of my spells have no effect on him.” I told him. “And you are a freaking Lycan, get her out of the way if you want her alive p>
He rushed to me, his hand tightening around my neck. I tried pushing him away but he didn’t bulge, “you will not touch her, she’s mine p>
“Then get her out of the way before I do p>
I was torn between involving her when it wasn’t her fault, but she keeps interfering. First, it was coming unannounced to my house, getting my adoptive parents to reveal the part of me I never wanted anyone to find out about. And then, even without trying, she’s distracting Felix
“I will p>
“Then get your fucking hands off me and go do something.” I said, since for some reason, my spell wasn’t working on him.
He thought about it before releasing me. I shot him a glare when he did.
“I’ll let you know when we need to move forward.” He murmured, turning his back to leave.
“I need the hair of a powerful werewolf and you’re the closest p>
He looked back at me, like he wanted to say something but changed his mind. “You’ll get it next time, but tonight, stay out of my way.” And he was gone. That fucking halfbreed!
FELIX’S POV
That darn witch was getting on my nerves, but she was right. I needed to stop sending these men who were clearly incapable of getting things done. Once Kaia was out of the picture, getting Kieran was easy.
I was no fool to underestimate his strength as a full Lycan, which was the reason Kaia had to go. She was his only weakness and no one said it was going to be a fair fight.
Another reason was her strength. Being the last of her kind, she was sure to be a great addition to my
Pack when I finally assumed mynet
rightful position as the Alpha of the Moonstone Pack. And when laid eyes on her, it felt like everything fell into place.
Her beauty was unlike anything that I’ve seen before and she would be a perfect replacement for my mate, who met her end when I found her riding one of my
men.
That bitch!
“Listen up.” I called to my men, my voice echoing through the forest where we were gathered. “Get yourself ready, tonight we invade the moonstone pack.” “Yes, Boss.” They chorused.
“The Luna is mine,” I growled, “if any of you touches her, you better pray death finds you before I do p>
“Clear Boss p>
Everyone dispersed to get ready for tonight, they better not mess up this time, with the amount of training I’ve put them through and we have the upper hand since they have no idea we were coming.
I went back into my cabin with the second in command following closely behind
me.
“Boss, a-are you sure this n-night is going to work?” He asked, his voice trembling as he spoke and I glared at him.
“We only have a few of the potions made by the witch…and there’s not enough time to make new ones.” He quickly explained.
“Why do you think I have you training every day? To build your muscles or make you look attractive?” I asked, my eyes darkened as I stared intently at him.
He shook his head, “I’m sorry, Boss.” he added, “I’ll get the men ready p>
Without looking back, he ran away. “Fucking cowards, that’s what they are!” My wolf said. “We need stronger men, not these ones who can’t handle themselves and would slow us down p>
“And we would get them once we’ve put everything in place.” I told him. He nodded contently. We were going to get everything we ever wanted growing up, but before that happens, we have to deal with them.
Nightfall was quickly approaching and in no time, Kaia would be where she belongs. The moon goddess made a mistake but I was going to fix it…fix everything.
“And I was already looking forward to it.” I thought, a smirk appearing on the corner of my lips.
