Chapter 137

Clarissa’s POV

Leaving the house without having Tyler worry about where I was going was easier this time. He was keeping himself busy with the Pack, to the point where I barely saw him except when it was time for either dinner or to sleep. It was like he was back to being the Alpha again, only that this time, I no longer worked side by side with him.

Besides, if he knew where I was going to, he probably would develop a heart attack even though that was unheard of among our kind.

Hastening my footstep, I made my way out of the pack and at the same time, several ways use to convince that good for nothing Omega that I wanted to make amends.

My Lycan was seething, wanting to rip off her throat while she spoke to us. She was the reason the home I spent my entire life building fell apart. And I can’t believe Kieran was stupid enough to get her pregnant.

She must think that because Kieran was supporting her, she has a right to open her filthy mouth and speak to me like we were on the same level.

“We’re not going to let her taint our bloodline…she has to go.” My Lycan growled.

I agreed, it was the only reason I was listening to Gerald when he suggested luring her out of the Pack.

By the time I arrived at the cabin, Gerald was already there, sitting in one of the chairs and looking at something in front of him. My body grew warm from just looking at him.

“Why are you standing there, staring at me? Come sit down.” He called, his voice jerking me back to reality.

“I just I trailed off, not having the right words.

Being with him felt so wrong, but at the same time, it felt different…in a good way.

It reminded me of what it means to be young again, not worrying about

responsibilities and just being so carefree.

“You’re not thinking of backing out, are you?” He asked.

He stood up to match my height and pulled me closer and the hesitation I felt for a moment flew away. I focused on his touch, which sent shivers down my spine.

“Of course not p>

“Oh! I was already thinking about several ways to convince you to stay.” He said, his voice coming out low and seductive as his hand caressed me slowly. “Just like the old days.” His warm breath fanned against my skin.

“Show me p>

The words barely left my lips before his lips came crashing on mine. The bag I was holding fell to the ground, as my arms wrapped around him drawing him even closer.

I let him lead me to the bed.

“Have you made any progress with her?” Gerald asked, about an hour later as I laid in his arms, my bare skin cuddled against him as our clothes were scattered all over the room.

I shook my head. “The good for nothing bitch is growing wings p>

“We had a deal, you have to convince her if not p>

“I know the consequences, you don’t need to remind me.” I didn’t want to raise my voice, especially after what we just shared.

So before the attack on the Pack, I’d met him once when Elena, his mate, wasn’t around. I wanted to persuade him to let me meet with our son…just to see him. I knew no amount of apology would change the past but it didn’t change how much I wanted to see him…he was also my son after all. But one thing led to another and we both realized that the feelings we thought were long gone were still lurking in the corners somewhere.

It was supposed to be a one time thing, to get it out of the way but our bodies had different plans. It was all fun until Elena came storming in threatening to place a curse on both of us. She must’ve followed him.

The only way out of being cursed was to deliver Kaia to her. Why would anyone want her?

“Why does Elena want her? She doesn’t have anything special about her.” I asked Gerald, and his body froze against mine.

“Felix wants her…if you’re serious about wanting to meet him, you should do something for him p>

“I’m going to do that, I just need more time. The stupid girl isn’t buying my act p>

“I have just the thing to help with that.” He said, standing up, and I immediately missed the warmth his body provided me.

He returned with a bag which I soon found out contained cake and some fruits. A frown appeared on my face when I saw them. I knew where to get cake if I wanted one.

“Just give this to her and make sure she eats it and it’s problem solved.” He said and a smirk played at the corner of his lips.

I gave him a suspicious look but he just nodded reassuringly. But how the hell would I get her to eat this? It wasn’t like I could force it down her throat. “What is it going to do p>

“Why don’t you find out for yourself? It’s more fun that way.” He said.

Placing one last kiss on my lips, he got into the shower and I did the same thing once he was done. I needed to get rid of his smell or anything that’ll give him away.

We finally parted ways and I returned to the Pack, holding the cake Gerald had given me for her.

I was met with a surprise…more like shock when I got back and Tyler was at

home, which was weird but I wore a smile as I approached him.

“Hey darling!” I called, “I thought you wouldn’t be back until later p>

“There was a change of plan. Where did you go this time?” He asked, and I wasn’t sure if it was the guilt of cheating on him or my imagination, but there was an edge to his tone.

“I met up with some friends, and I got some things for Kaia.” I told him. “I’m really serious about making up with her, especially with their baby on the way p>

He nodded, “That’s a good idea. You should also talk to Allie while at it, we owe her an apology p>

My frown deepened, but I just agreed. “You’re right, she’s my baby and this feud going on between us has to end p>

I didn’t bother going into the room as I excused myself to go to the Pack house. The sooner I get this done, the sooner I get back on track and things go back to the way they were supposed to be.

Luckily or unluckily for me, the first person I ran into was Kieran and the frown on

his face gave away the fact that he knew about my conversation with his mate.

“What are you doing here?” He asked, crossing his arms in front of him.

Wearing a smile that I hope didn’t come off as stiff as it felt on my face, I moved closer to him. “I know this is the last thing you expect to hear from me, but I just want to apologize p>

He raised his brows and when he didn’t say anything, I continued.

“I want to show my sincerity to Kaia for the way I treated her and for trying to

come between both of you. I miss my children and p>

“I’ll make sure to pass your message across, mother. I have somewhere to be

right now p>

“You can leave, it’s Kaia I want to

see.” I said, my hand tightening

around the bag containing the cake.

“This was the type of cake I ate

when I was pregnant with you, I’m

sure she’d like it too p>

Before he could respond, the said person arrived, wearing a confused look on her

face.

Now, only if Kieran would let us be.
