Chapter 133

Aiden’s POV

Dylan was fucking with me! He was pushing me to the wall. Sleeping in the dungeon for what he did, was the best punishment he could ask for, but that seemed to only fuel his motivation to disobey me after I clearly gave an order.

“Do you want us to bring him back?” Derek, my Gamma asked, his eyes fixed on me as he waited for my instruction.

I shook my head. Unlike the last time when he disappeared without a trace, his whereabouts now wasn’t a secret. The thought that he might be carrying out the end of the deal crossed my mind, where he would give me all the information I needed. But that didn’t seem like the Dylan I grew up with.

His new found relationship with Kaia was amusing. Before now, he didn’t hide how much he hated his mom moving on and marrying her dad. But now, he was acting like a saint.

“Alpha,” one of my warriors called through the mindlink, the urgency in his voice jerking me out of my thoughts and back to the present.

“What is it?” I snapped.

“The Lycan King is around.” He announced and my face scrunched up in confusion, as I pulled myself up from the desk.

“What? Why?” I asked, already moving towards the door and Derek followed behind knowing better than to ask any questions. “Where’s he right now p>

He paused, and with each second, I grew impatient. He shouldn’t be here. Several questions went up at once in my head. “Did he figure out my plans with Laura?” But that was impossible, we had barely put it into motion so it was kind of impossible for him to find out about it.

“Alpha, he’s at Beta Dylan’s house.” Liam’s voice came again.

Without thinking, I rushed there but the warriors stood at the door. “Do you know who I am?” I growled at them, letting Jager take over.

“The Lycan King doesn’t need any disturbance p>

“This is my Pack! Get out of my way if you don’t want to start a war.” This time, they moved out of the way. Alpha Kieran’s eyes bore into me with each step I took. My eyes darted between the both of them, wondering what they were talking about.

“Alpha,” I called, trying to sound cheerful, like I wasn’t dying to claw his eyes out. “You didn’t tell us you were coming p>

“If I wanted to see you, I would have sent for you.” He replied, not sparing me a glance.

“Alpha…the I started again. As the Lycan King, he was very much aware about the law that spoke about Alphas’ having the permission of the Pack’s Alpha to enter their Pack.

“Leave.” He commanded, his Alpha command slipping in, a tone no one could refuse. I left but that didn’t stop me from being curious. Whatever they were discussing seemed pretty serious.

“Stand here until Alpha Kieran leaves and make sure Katherine is in my office once he’s gone.” I ordered and Derek nodded as I stormed away, seething.

“Being the Lycan King doesn’t give him any right to act like he rules my Pack… apart from his Lycan, there was nothing special about him p>

I returned to my office where Brianne was waiting for me, arms crossed in front of her and an angry look on her face. But I just rolled my eyes at her, this wasn’t something new…ignoring her was the best way to keep myself sane.

“Did you leave that good for nothing Omega to start following other women?” She asked, throwing my phone in my face, a growl escaping my lips.

“Don’t mess with me, Brianne p>

Her eyes narrowed, “I’m not the one going around and sleeping with Omegas.” She snapped. “People in the pack are talking, but you obviously don’t care p>

“Is that all p>

“Who is Laura? Another one of your hoes p>

I snorted, like I would have something to do with that witch…while she was a good partner, who knew her ways around getting what she wanted, she was going to become another Brianne and I already learnt my lesson once.

When I didn’t give her a response, she stormed out, murmuring underneath her breath how I was going to regret embarrassing her.

Laura’s call came in almost immediately and I picked up.

“Do you know how to use a phone?” She asked, frustration evident in her tone.

“We’ll come back to that. The package has been delivered p>

I paused, “isn’t that supposed to be in two days?” I asked. What was it with everyone going against my order?

“Well, it’d be harder with Kieran out of the Pack p>

“Except that he’s here right now.” I said, glaring at nothing in particular.

“What? Why?” She repeated the same question I had when Liam delivered the message. “Fuck if I know p>

“That can wait…we need to discuss our next plan.” She said, “but you need to keep a better watch on your Beta before he ruins everything we’re planning p>

That son of a bitch! I should’ve let him rot in the dungeon.

We concluded that she would come to the pack because it was the only place we could meet comfortably and not be worried about our secrets being discovered. I didn’t want to risk getting interrupted like at the meeting.

Several hours passed by and I didn’t hear anything from Derek, my wolf was urging me to find out what the problem was. If it was related to our mate, but the Alpha’s command was keeping me in one place which was driving me insane.

“What’s going on?” I asked Derek.

“Alpha Kieran is still

here… Katherine’s mate came around but since then, nothing.” There was a slight tremble in his voice which ignored. The sun had long gone down, and by now, my curiosity level was above the roof. “How long does he plan to be here?” I thought.

My phone rang before I could come up with answers. It was Laura again and I

frowned.

“They’re under attack.” She said as soon as I picked up.

“Mate!” Jager growled.

“What do you mean? Is Kaia okay?” My heart was racing, like it was going to fall

out of its cage.

“I don’t know, don’t really care as

long as Kieran remains in your pack.” She replied, nonchalantly. “Saves me the trouble of having to kidnap her…I can just comfort. Not waiting for her to spill the rubbish I knew was coming, I ended the call.

And without thinking, I dashed towards the house and the pull holding me back

was gone, which only means one thing.

“Where is he p>

Derek moved away, avoiding looking at me. The absence of the cars that were here earlier told me exactly what I needed to know.

“I’m sorry Alpha he said.

“They took my mate Katherine’s husband yelled, running towards me. “Did she do something wrong, Alpha p>

“They left in a hurry…t-there was nothing I could do.” He said, trembling.

“You want to tell me why the fuck you’re still standing here, then?” I asked, glaring

at him. No doubt it was the reason he sounded weird earlier…it wasn’t because that was his normal self.

I was surrounded by idiots, how was

I supposed to go to war with them? Just thinking about it gave me an idea about how I could go on with my plan smoothly. But for it to happen, I needed people who weren’t idiots and I knew just where to find them.
