Chapter 91

Aiden’s POV

“Why the fuck hasn’t she been found yet?” I growled, glaring at the warriors in front of me. “She’s an omega, how is she smarter than you p>

They looked at each other, before turning to me, their body trembling as they fell to the floor when they couldn’t provide an answer.

“We’re sorry, Alpha. We’ll find her this time.” They promised, but over the past few weeks, that was the only thing I got. They were going to find her but they never do…they couldn’t even get a whiff of her smell anywhere.

I was mostly going crazy since Kaia disappeared without any trace. My wolf, Jager was also mad at me for letting her go. But how was I supposed to know that she’d somehow escape from the dungeon.

“Then you shouldn’t have fucking put her there in the first place.” Came Jager’s response, still sounding annoyed.

She haven’t reached out to her father or stepmom either, but they didn’t seem worried. Even after questioning them about Melissa seeing her in the city, it didn’t change anything.

“What about Dylan? No word from him yet p>

They shook their heads again and I let out another growl. It was like he also disappeared from everywhere, I couldn’t reach him through our mindlink. The only thing I knew for sure, was that he was no longer in the pack.

I had no doubt he had something to do with Kaia’s escape and even though he was punished for that, I never gave him permission to leave. I was his Alpha and I’ll make sure to remind whenever he decided that he was coming back.

The Pack was also a mess, especially after losing our main stream of income without a valid explanation. No doubt someone was behind it. This caused a lot of the members to move to other Packs and yet, my Beta chose to go on a fucking vacation!

“Keep looking and fucking hope you find her, if not, you’ll be sorry p>

I still couldn’t believe that Kaia would leave me…I was her mate, she was lucky to be mated to an Alpha. It wasn’t my fault she was weak but I still kept her close. Since she left, everything seemed to fall apart. At first, it was fine, the pack needed less weak members she seeing how she took care of the pack everyday without complaining, it wasn’t easy getting someone to do the same as perfectly as she does.

It felt like she was some sort of glue that held the Pack…me together.

“Why did she have to be an omega p>

And as much as I hated to admit it, I missed her, her intoxicating smell, how she felt whenever I was inside her. Her eyes when she stares at me.

Without waiting for a response, I stormed off, Pack members scurried away, to avoid being a victim of my rage. I slammed the door to my office once I was in, the sound echoing off the wall.

It wasn’t like I was going to get any work done as I sat in my chair, staring at the pile of paperwork I needed to get done. My Gamma was barely of any use to me. All he does was bring in more work that needed to be done and he was off again.

The door burst open, and Brianne came in, holding her…our son in her arms. She was fuming, her eyes shooting daggers at me but none of them fazed me, that had become a permanent look on her face.

Her eyes narrowed, lips curling into a sneer. “Why the hell am I hearing that you’re still having the warriors look into that…good for nothing Omega?” She snarled, “You think you can use me and then discard me for that…that trash?” her face scrunched up in disgust.

Jager let out a growl, “you would not speak about my mate in such manners.” He said and her stance faltered but she wasn’t done.

“I am your mate now, and the Luna of this pack. And you will treat me as such.” Her voice was slightly raised. My fist clenched as I felt my own anger building up from the tone of her words.

Pushing myself out of my seat, I stood in front of her, my eyes glowering. “You. Are. Not. My. Mate.” I told her, my voice coming out harshly. A hurt look flashed through her eyes, but she deserved it for thinking that she could ever be my mate.

“Aiden She called, looking over at Scott, who was playing, without a care in the world. “I rejected my mate to be with you p>

I let out a dry laugh, “you wanted an Alpha and he wasn’t one.” I said.

At first, having a strong Luna was all I wanted, a treaty with her pack was a plus but all of it didn’t matter. Her pack was more of a liability rather than being helpful in any way. And all she wanted to do was goout with her friends.

“If position didn’t matter, how come your mate isn’t here?” She mocked, her eyebrow raising slightly. “Of course, you rejected her p>

But I didn’t let her finish, as I let out another growl, my eyes darkening as Jager pushed his way forward. She took a step backwards, but she wasn’t fast enough as I stretched my hand, grabbing her neck.

“I didn’t reject her, she’s mine p>

She snorted, as she tries to loosen my grip on her neck. “T-then, h-how is it that I-

I don’t see her anywhere?” She continued, my grip on her tightening.

Kaia was mine and I was going to find her and make sure she knows that no matter how far she runs, she still belongs to me.

“She is mine p>

“Keep telling y-yourself that she coughed, “Melissa said they called her Luna, how is she yours p>

Letting out a loud growl, I sent her flying across the room and a painful groan escaped her lips. This time, I let Jager take over, shifting into my form once I was outside and going in the direction of the forest.

“How dare she allow another man touch her? She was ours p>

I kept running until I felt my anger subside, but that didn’t happen until the sun had

gone down completely. Only then did I drag myself back to the pack house.

“This wouldn’t be the case if you’d listened to me.” Jager said.

“You think I don’t know that?” I snapped at him. “But I’m going to make things right, whatever it takes p>

As expected, the door to my office wasn’t locked, seeing how I ran out earlier. Mind-linking one of the Omegas to bring my dinner to the office@s usual, I made myself comfortable on the couch, which had become my bed.

The door opened, but instead of the Omega, my Gamma, Derek, came in.

“An invitation came in for you earlier, Alpha.” He announced, tearing open the card he was holding.

“I’m not going.” I replied, without asking what it was for.

“But, it says all Alphas must be there.” He said, like that was going to change anything. His eyes widened as he read out the next sentence. “Oh, and the Lycan King is going to be there p>

That caught my attention, “he doesn’t come for this event.” I said, my brows furrowing in confusion.

“It says here, that he’s going to be there.” He replied, “maybe you can talk to him about helping our Pack out.” He continued, but something else was playing in my head.

If the Lycan King was going to be there, most Alpha’s would definitely want to be

there, and they were going to come along with their mate.

“I’m going.” I told Derek, who nodded and left the office.

If Melissa was right about the Luna thing, that means Kaia was going to be there.

This was my chance to make things right.
