Chapter 112
Chapter 115
Kaia’s POV
The meeting with the Alphas was here, and Allie and I were getting ready with the aid of Dani who was having so much fun playing dress up instead of being the one getting ready. Allie was excited to go and according to her, she was happy because she gets to show off her perfect self in a room full of poorly dressed
women.
“Oh my gosh!” Allie squealed, “Kieran won’t be able to take his eyes off you.” She said, once Dani was done applying my makeup.
“I don’t think that even I, can take my eyes off her.” Dani agreed.
I smiled widely and looked into the mirror and this time, I had to agree that she did an amazing job. The makeup was flawless, and I could feel my confidence go through the roof. Since I was going with a red dress, she did a sophisticated, elegant look with neutral eyes but my lip was a bold red color. She put my hair down after curling them.
The dress was a stunning, floor-length red dress that hugged my body tightly in all the right places and I couldn’t be happier that I wasn’t showing yet. The top part was a sweetheart neck while flowing skirts fell in soft folds to the ground.
“It’s perfect.” I murmured, not taking my eyes off my reflection as my hand played with the necklace Kieran had given me during one of our dates.
“It sure is.” Lylah agreed.
Allie was going with a blue version of a gown similar to mine, but her own didn’t have the flowing skirts. But she looked stunning. Ryder was going to have a really hard time keeping his hands to himself.
“That’s a him problem.” I thought, smiling at how frustrated he was going to be all through the night. I mean, she did say she was no longer mad at him and was considering giving him the chance to prove that he was sincere. I don’t think she’s going to let him off easily though.
“I think we’re good to go.” Allie said, finally taking my attention away from the mirror.
I mind-linked Kieran that I was done and he was knocking on Allie’s door a few minutes later. He was wearing a three piece blue suit and he looked like he just walked out of the runway.
“Fuck Bella,” He groaned softly, his eyes filled with desire as he stared at me. “You are perfect!” He said, and I could say the same about him. It was unfair for one person to possess this level of perfection.
He moved closer to me, his hands holding me by my side and drawing me. Everyone else disappeared and it was just the two of us, lost in each other. His touch sent shivers down my spine and I can’t believe that this unbelievably handsome hunk of a man was all mine.
Just as I felt him lean in, I closed my eyes but nothing came instead, a loud growl filled my ears and my eyes snapped open to see Kieran glaring at Allie.
“I didn’t make the rule,” she said, “no kissing a girl when she’s wearing lipstick p>
The way my head jerked towards her, I was afraid I would get a whiplash. “Don’t blame me.” She said, raising her hand in mock surrender.
Dani was fighting back a laugh while Allie just shrugged and passed beside me ignoring the glare Kieran was giving her. She was the only one who would get away with something like that and she knew it.
We said goodbye to Dani and Caleb as we got into the car. Ryder was driving, so Allie sat in front with him and with the unhealthy amount of times his head moved to look at her, I pray we don’t crash.
“It’s unfair for you to look like this and I can’t kiss you.” Kieran said through our mindlink, his eyes meeting my gaze.
“I don’t know about any rule, but you can kiss me all you want.” I replied and a pleased smile appeared on his face.
“I can see the look you’re giving each other,” Allie said, “you’re only making it hard for yours-” She was interrupted by the divider coming between us and Kieran’s lips came crashing on mine.
“Rude!” Allie murmured, but we were lost in our own world.
I wasn’t sure how long we drove for, but we finally arrived. The anxious feeling I felt thinking about how I would walk in front of so many people came back but Kieran assured me that there was nothing to be worried about.
The door opened, and Kieran offered me his hand which I grabbed like I was holding on to my dear life. A lot of people were standing out to greet us…Kieran. And once they saw him, they bowed their heads and didn’t rise until we walked past them.
“This is so cool!” Allie squealed through our mindlink and I snorted, only she would think that.
Only when we got into the big hall and we were led to our seat did I let go of Kieran’s hands. I didn’t miss the look was getting which was not surprising as they were aware he found his mate but just didn’t know who I was.
“Are you okay?” Kieran asked.
I nodded, “it’s not that bad p>
“If those ladies would keep their ‘pick me’ eyes to themselves, it’d be fucking fantastic!” Lylah added and I chuckled, “No matter how much they stared, he was ours p>
“Damn right he was p>
Several Alpha’s came to meet Kieran, trying to suck up to him, but he had a bored look on his face while they spoke and I fought back a smile.
“You’re doing so well,” he said.
“I’m just sitting here.” I told him, giving him a look that said ‘really p>
“I know, and you look absolutely stunning…your lipstick is smudged by the way p>
He said, like it was no big deal. My eyes widened, “no wonder they were staring at me p>
“Why didn’t you say something p>
I was glaring at him but he just shrugged, “I was going to, but I loved the look on you.” My glare deepened but he ignored it and leaned in to kiss me.
I placed my hand on his chest, “I agree with Allie now, no kissing a girl when she’s wearing lipstick.” I told him, just as the Alpha in charge of handling the meeting announced that that was starting.
Paying little or no attention to them, my eyes darted across the room, looking for Allie so we could go to the restroom together and I could fix my lips but she was nowhere to be found.
I wouldn’t put it past her to be at the food table.
Kieran was called up to open the meeting officially, so I used the opportunity to look for the restroom. Finding the right place to go was a little difficult as the place was large and built like a maze…literally.
What happened to simplicity or a design that was easily understandable?
Before I could get frustrated and go back to the hall, I met a girl, she showed me
the way to the restroom and was nice enough to escort me until I knew where to
go.
“The Lycan King is here,” I heard someone say as I stepped inside. “He’s so hot p>
“Of course he is.” I thought, rolling my eyes.
“I heard he finally found his mate. Do you think she’s pretty?” Another voice asks.
“She definitely is…she’s so lucky p>
When they finally saw me, they kept quiet, their eyes following me as I went to the mirror. They finally got over their initial awkwardness and greeted me. “Good morning, Luna.” The third person greeted and the others followed suit.
I responded, and they rushed out, leaving me to do my thing just as Kieran’s voice
came in, asking where I was.
“I’m fixing my makeup…thanks to a certain someone p>
“And I’m proud. I’m coming to get you.” He said.
“There’s no need,” I told him, “I’m done here p>
We ended the mindlink and I packed my things, putting them inside my pause. But
the moment I stepped outside the restroom I came face to face with a familiar
face.
No. Fucking. Way!
