Chapter 33
Kaia’s POV
I fought back a smile as I stared at my neck which now beared Kieran’s mark. It was a moon shape with a star in the middle which was unlike any mark I had seen and it was absolutely beautiful.
If I had known you’d have this look on your face when you look at my mark, I’d have done so a long time ago.” Kieran said, wrapping his arms around me and kissing his mark.
I smiled, “you really should have.” I agreed.
He groaned, murmuring how he needed to shower since he had a meeting with the warriors and he couldn’t afford to get a hard on in a room full of men. He entered the bathroom, but not before kissing my lips.
Being with him was literally the best thing. It was like I entered a different world, and only he could lead me through.
Dani was right, he didn’t mind that he wasn’t my first and he assured me that it was okay. But considering the fact that with Aiden, I wasn’t given the liberty to enjoy it, being with him felt like the first time.
And when he told me he loved me, it felt like I finally found that missing piece. Although I didn’t say it back, I definitely feel something for him too. Sex with him showed me a different side of me I never knew I had.
“Don’t you regret waiting this long?” Lylah teased, she sounded satisfied…we both were.
“Shut up!” I told her, my face turning red, “I mean you’re right, but I trailed off. She was right and there was no but.
“But we have more than enough time to make up for the lost time.” I thought and I felt myself becoming turned on just at the thought of having sex with him again…I was slowly turning into Lylah.
The bathroom door creaked open and a shirtless Kieran entered the room. I couldn’t help but stare at his broad shoulders and chiseled chest and I admired the way his muscles flexed with each step. Water droplets glistened on his skin, drawing my gaze to how well built he was.
I can’t believe he was all mine.
“I just want to run my hands through his abs!” I thought, my eyes taking him in. Lylah snorted, “Now, who’s the horny one p>
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” I denied, just as I heard Kieran chuckling. “Did I say that out loud?” I asked him.
Pulling a shirt over his head, he strolled towards where I sat on the bed, his hand on both my sides, he bent down to meet my gaze.
“You know Bella,” he started, his voice low and hoarse, “you can do anything you want with me, I’m not opposed to it.” He finished with a wink.
His lips landed on mine before I could attempt to cover my face.
“Don’t cover your face, I want to see all of you.” His eyes held my gaze, a soft smile playing in them. I nodded, returning a smile of my own.
Kieran had to leave when Ryder mind-linked him to tell him everything was ready. And with one last kiss, he was gone.
I spent a few minutes after he left applying powder on my face and then blush on my neck and chest where more hickey than I could count on both fingers was. When I was done I made my way to the girls.
“Look who decided to show up!” Allie teased, “you took the whole beauty sleep thing seriously p>
Dani snorted before I could respond, “I wouldn’t call what she was doing sleeping.” She said, smiling knowingly.
A flush rise to my cheeks, “what p>
“You smell different and you’re wearing his mark.” She pointed out, like it was the most obvious thing.
Allie jumped up excitedly, “oh my gosh!” She squealed, “I’m gonna cry. Let me see
it p>
Her mouth dropped when she saw it, and a proud smile appeared on my face.
“My mark better be as beautiful as this p>
Dani frowned, “mine is just a string of numbers p>
“It must be something important then p>
She nodded, a dreamy, far off look settled in her eyes. “It’s the day we met.” Sensing there must be a story there, I nodded.
“But today isn’t about me. And I’m so happy for you.” She said, throwing her arms around me and Allie following suit.
“And forget any official ceremony where you have to pledge your loyalty and all that shit, this makes you the official Luna. Anyone who sees will be able to tell.” Dani said.
I froze. I let Ida get to me and now that it was done, I have to face everything bearing the mark stands for, and that includes caring for members of the largest pack.
“Take deep breaths, Luna. And you’re not going to be alone.” Dani assured me and I nodded.
The children came running in, putting an end to our conversation and pushing my fears to one side for the time being.
“What’s going on, Bella?” Kieran’s familiar voice rang in my mind. “I can hear how worried you are from here. Are you okay?” His voice was laced with concern.
Relief washed over me when I heard his voice. “I’m okay.” I told him.
Another that came with us finally mating, is the ability to finally talk to each other through mindlink and also feel each other’s emotions. This might just be because of the fact that he was an Alpha.
“And it has nothing to do with your Luna duties or anything?” He said,
I looked around, but he wasn’t anywhere I could see him. Allie was trying to calm
a crying child and Dani was running around, so they couldn’t possibly have told him.
“How did you know? Did Lylah tell you p>
He chuckled, “oh look at that, my attention is needed?” He continued, “I’ll see you later, Bella. And take it easy on yourself, they’re going to like you.” And he was gone.
“What just happened?” I thought, but I didn’t have enough time to think about it when Bailey came running towards me, spreading her hands for me to carry her. We’d quickly bonded after I promised to let her share.
If only everyone in the pack was as sweet as she was, then being a Luna was going to be the walk in the park. But I wasn’t that lucky.
