Chapter 86
Chapter 89
Allie’s POV
Since the full moon, my relationship with Dylan became even more better. It was exciting and Dylan does know how to take my mind off things and it went beyond being intimate with him…I do have to say that it was part of it.
But we made a deal not to fall in love with each other since we both hadn’t found our mates. He didn’t hide the fact that he wasn’t desperate to find her, but he wouldn’t say why. I agreed because I don’t think my heart was ready for another heartbreak.
Kaia didn’t bother asking what was going on between us which was good since I might have lied to her if she did. She was going to be worried that the whole thing with Ryder was going to repeat itself and then she’d blame herself for even bringing the suggestion in the first place.
And speaking of Ryder, I haven’t seen him anywhere since the full moon which was three days ago.
I know they were busy with the shooter and traitor situation but I’ve seen Caleb… who literally almost died.
“What are you thinking so hard about?” Kaia asked, snapping me out of my thoughts. And I moved my eyes to meet her gaze.
“Nothing,” I lied. “Just the whole incident. I’m hoping that they catch them soon and our lives return to normal p>
“You’re right, it feels like everyone is on the edge. And a traitor, possibly among the warriors, makes trusting each other impossible p>
I nodded, “Kieran is going to deal with them soon.” I told her and there was no doubt about that. They crossed a line when they shot his best friend of over twenty years.
“He’s going to, but that’s barely enough for you to be thinking this hard. How did things go with your parents? You didn’t talk about that p>
I let out a sigh, “they heard about Caleb and they wanted to know the details of what happened.” I explained, leaving out other details.
The news that Caleb got hurt was no longer a secret, but to them, it was nothing serious and he just needed to rest so that his wolf could heal him properly.
“About them, I should be on my way to see them now p>
Kaia looked at me once more, worry still etched on her face, not buying my poor excuse of running away. I knew what she wanted to ask, but I was fine, the last thing she needed to worry about was her brother and myself.
“I’ll see you when I’m done with them.” I assured her, excusing myself before she could say anything else.
The walk to my parents place didn’t take long. They were both seated in each other’s arms deeply in a conversation but the moment I came in, they separated.
“Hi Dad, Mom.” I greeted.
They both nodded as I sat on the seat opposite them. My Dad called me to come sit beside him which I did without hesitation while my mom just frowned, murmuring something about how he was pampering and I wasn’t on his side.
While my Dad’s anger towards Kieran was subsiding, understanding that he was only doing it for his mate, my mom was nowhere near being appeased, not that Kieran cared though, she was the least of his problems.
“Alpha Declan of Blackwood is arriving during the weekend, so get ready to host him.” My mom announced suddenly, my body jerked upward before turning to look at her.
“What are you talking about?” I asked her, “I told you yesterday that I wanted nothing to do with that man!” I continued, raising her voice at her.
Rhea was equally angry, letting out a growl, and trying to push her way to the surface.
“He wants you, and his pack being at treaty with us is a good idea.” She replied, not seeing anything wrong with the words coming from her mouth. “As long as your brother decides to keep that…that weak girl, it’s up to you to save this Pack p>
“Kaia is not weak,” I snapped, then turned to my dad. “Tell her I’m not going to do it p>
He sighed as he stood up, placing both hands on my shoulders, “Just meet him first. You might change your mind p>
A look of betrayal flashed through my eyes as I moved away from his touch. He was supposed to be on my side. Tears welled up in my eyes as I stormed out of the house, running away from them ignoring my dad’s voice for me to come back.
Once I got to the Pack house, I ran straight to my room, holding back my tears. But I came to a stop when
awwho was waiting for me in
front of my door.
For someone who took his time avoiding me, he sure was making himself
available now and he couldn’t choose the worst time possible.
I took in his appearance, his eyes looked like he hadn’t slept in days, his hair was unkempt and I frowned, forgetting my own problem for a moment.
“What the hell is going on with him?” I thought.
But I didn’t have time to ask him when he suddenly raised my chin to look at him and anger flashed through his eyes.
“Where the fuck is he? I’m going to kill him.” He growled, his hand grabbing mine.
I easily pulled my hand away this time once I felt the sparks.
“What are you talking about? Why are you here p>
“You’ve been crying, and I’m going to kill him. That’s not hard to understand, princess.” He said.
I froze when he called me princess
ovel?
He knew the effect that had on me and him calling me that after avoiding me wasn’t going to automatically make up for what he did. sŵnovel
“Dylan didn’t make me cry unlike someone else,” I snapped, a look of guilt settled
on his face. “Not that it’s any of your business again p>
“Princess p>
“Don’t call me that.” I growled, “and if you’re done, leave p>
“Allie, I’m really sorry.” He apologized, taking me by surprise but I just stared at
him.
“What exactly, was he apologizing

for?” The time when I repeatedly begged him to change his mind about our relationship or when. told me that what we shared shouldn’t have happened. Or the countless nights I spent crying
because I missed being in his arms.
“I know I pushed you to Dylan’s arms, I thought ending things with you was for
your own good p>
Does he regret ending things and want to mend it?
“But having him mark you p>
My brows furrowed in confusion, “mark me? When did that happen?” I thought,
but he continued before I could get answers to my questions.
“I’m going to deal with Alpha Declan, but don’t let him mark you, please?” He begged, his voice almost breaking. “Please p>
“How do you know about Alpha Declan?” I asked, no one knew about that, not even Kieran.
“W-what?” He stammered. “I heard someone from his pack talk about it when I went there.” He replied.
“Forget you heard anything p>
“You know I can’t do that, princess that darn nickname again. “And you don’t belong with Dylan either, you’re p>
“Stop, just stop. I can’t deal with this today.” I told him instead, already opening the door to my room and stepping inside.
I don’t think I could deal with whatever he has to say, especially one that would only make the situation I find myself worse.
“There’s something I have to tell you p>
Ignoring the desperate tone in his voice, I slammed the door in his face. Whatever
he had to say could wait until I was mentally stable enough.
But I soon regretted my decision when I climbed the bed and all I could think
about was what he wanted to tell me.
Yea, I probably should’ve listened to what he wanted to say.
