When the call finally ended, Bella dropped her phone onto the bed, a wave of nausea hitting her. She clenched her jaw, resisting the urge to rush to the bathroom and vomit. Jacob was utterly revolting. His lecherous tone, his self-assured fantasies—it was enough to make her skin crawl.
Yet, she had no choice. For now, Jacob was the only person capable of helping her deal with Yelena.
What had he meant by saying Yelena wasn’t an ordinary girl? Could it be that Yelena had been hiding her true nature all this time? Was the composed and quiet demeanor Yelena projected nothing more than a facade?
