Reluctantly, she stepped aside, allowing a clear path forward.
John and Austin exchanged a brief glance, both puzzled by Monica’s unusual behavior.
Monica glanced over her shoulder to confirm that Yelena was indeed gone. Relieved, her spirits lifted, and she headed towards the auditorium with a spring in her step.
Watching Monica walk away, John couldn’t help but marvel at how quickly women could change moods. Just moments earlier, she had been upset, and now she seemed rather cheerful.
John was about to strike up a conversation with Austin when he realized Austin hadn’t followed him at all. Instead, he stood in the same position, glancing around with a focused expression, as if searching for something.
From a distance, John called out to Austin. “Hey, Austin, what are you doing just standing there? We’re going to be late.” Austin furrowed his brows and reluctantly shifted his gaze.
He mused silently about how vast the campus was. Despite walking around for quite some time, he hadn’t crossed paths with Yelena.
He had hoped for a chance encounter, but it seemed fate wasn’t on his side.
Noticing the disappointed look on Austin’s face, John suddenly had an idea.
He jogged over to Austin and placed a hand on his shoulder, saying, “If you want to see her, just call her. Stop acting like a nervous teenager. Don’t make me lose respect for you p>
Austin shot John a cold, piercing glare that could almost kill a man.
Austin was under the impression that it was actually John who was always acting like a reckless teenager.

Monica didn’t dare act too aggressively, as Yelena’s raised voice had attracted the attention of several students who had arrived late and couldn’t get in.
“How should I know? I saw you pestering the guard and assumed you were up to no good,” Monica snapped.
The guard let out an awkward chuckle and said, “These two students were simply asking me to see if there might be any empty seats tucked away in the hall. If there are, they’d like to go in p>
Although Monica was a guest at the event, Yelena and Erica were students at Kheley University, and the guard was naturally inclined to look out for them.
“Are there any empty seats left?” Monica asked.
“It’s settled, then. Since there are no seats available, they have to leave. If everyone lingers around here and something happens, who will bear the responsibility? I’m just looking out for everyone’s safety p>
