“Yelena, how can you compare me to them…” Bella saw Donna approaching and immediately changed her tone with a sob, saying, “Thanks for the reminder. I’ll work on adjusting my mindset in the future p>
With that, Bella covered her face and ran off, tears streaming down her cheeks. Donna paused for a moment, torn, before finally deciding to chase after Bella.
Yelena stayed rooted in place, casting a fleeting glance in Bella’s direction with no intention of following her or offering any explanation.
Agate then approached cautiously, glancing at Yelena with a look of hesitation.
Yelena turned to her and asked, “Ms. Blakely, is there something you’d like to tell me p>
Agate replied, “Well, I know you’ve been busy since reuniting with your family, and I didn’t want to bother you, but p>
“Is there something wrong at the orphanage?” Yelena asked.
Unbeknownst to Donna and the others, Yelena had been quietly supporting the orphanage for years, always stepping in to help whenever there was a need. Yet somehow, fate had ensured that Yelena and Donna never crossed paths during Yelena’s many visits to the orphanage.
“It’s Neil. His teacher called to inform me that he hasn’t attended school for several days. I went to the school to look for him, but he wasn’t there. When I asked around, no one seemed to know where he might be. They only told me he was recently disciplined for fighting with his classmates. Normally, a parent’s visit would sort out such issues, but Neil didn’t tell me anything about it—and now, he’s stopped going entirely p>
Agate bore a worried look. “I watched Neil grow up, and I know that boy. He’s not a troublemaker. Something must have happened p>

At that moment, Donna and Bella returned.
Bella glanced at Yelena, a flicker of suspicion in her eyes. Why did Yelena seem so familiar with the orphanage headmistress? Bella stepped in front of Yelena, effectively blocking her view, staring directly at her without saying a word.

I misunderstood the situation and asked you to apologize. That was wrong of me. I need to check on Bella first, but let’s talk more once we’re home p>
