Of course, Austin wanted Yelena’s family to be aware of him, but their relationship hadn’t reached that point yet. It was best to let things unfold naturally.
However, what Austin didn’t realize was that Yelena and her family had recently moved from the old family mansion to a new place—which was conveniently close to the old one.
They had arrived at the neighborhood, yet Austin turned to look at the sleeping Yelena and hesitated to wake her up. Her long, thick lashes were like two little fans, gently covering her closed eyes.
As Cayson returned from work and drove near their new home, he noticed an unfamiliar car parked nearby. It struck him as odd. He parked his car, got out, and walked over to take a look.
To his surprise, he saw that there were people inside the car.
It was puzzling. Why would someone park in front of his house?
He was about to approach the driver’s side and ask them to move when something caught his eye.
As his gaze shifted toward the back seat, Cayson’s heart skipped a beat. There, sitting too close together, were two figures. One of them was unmistakably his sister, Yelena!
Stunned, Cayson quickly regained his composure. He rushed to the driver’s side and knocked on the window hard.
Bored from the waiting, John was now fully immersed in his game, his headphones blocking out the world around him.
He didn’t notice Cayson approaching until a sharp knock on the window jolted him back to reality.
John’s instinct was to look toward Austin, but before he could react further, the knock had already disturbed Yelena.
She groggily blinked open her eyes, frustrated at being woken. As she shifted, she realized, with a jolt, that she was resting against Austin’s shoulder. Looking up, she saw his smooth jawline inches away from her.

Yelena gestured hastily for Austin and John to leave the scene before she attempted to maintain her composure and reassured Cayson. “No, I’m fine.” Despite Yelena’s efforts to remain composed, her thoughts were involuntarily filled with images of Austin’s defined jawline and his alluring lips. Yelena paused, feeling a flush of embarrassment over her errant thoughts.

“You say you’re fine, but your face is completely flushed. Did someone slip something in your drink?” Cayson asked, his voice rising in anger. “This is unacceptable.
