“Don’t forget the cat food,” Austin added.
Yelena nodded, and the two of them walked away together.
Bella rushed over just in time to witness the scene. Her fury bubbled up instantly.
She shot Megan a cold look. “Didn’t I tell you to wait for me before bringing the cats over? Why let them loose so early p>
Megan pursed her lips, looking at Bella with an expression of faux innocence. “Are you blaming me? I didn’t do it on purpose,” she thought.

Bella rolled her eyes.
Didn’t Megan realize that when a woman said “right over,” it meant she was just beginning to get ready?
Bella had intended to make a grand entrance, all dressed up, with the kittens in tow, right in front of Austin. It would have left a lasting impression that she was kind and animal-loving—an excuse to be close to him.
