Aus was just amusing himself with Amilia’s company. He was naturally distant and enjoyed mocking others. It was impressive that Amilia managed to connect with him like this.

Aus merely gave Bernice a short, indifferent glance before looking away.
“You claim this is your cat, yet why doesn’t your cat even glance your way?” Amilia laughed victoriously. “Seems like it prefers me more p>
Bernice frowned. “That’s because you’re not in school and spend all your time with Aus. I’d like to see how you’d manage that bond if you had classes like I do p>
“I don’t believe you,” Amilia replied coolly.
Bernice clicked her tongue, clearly impressed by Amilia’s sharp wit.
Yelena visited next door. Upon seeing her, Maggie greeted her warmly.
“Yelena, you’ve arrived p>
“Mrs. Barton, this is for you,” Yelena said.
Maggie smiled and said, “I’m heading back to Kheley in a few days. I might not return anytime soon. I’m really going to miss you.” Maggie truly admired Yelena and often thought how wonderful it would be if she could simply keep Yelena close.
Yelena was surprised by Maggie’s announcement that she was leaving, and a sense of sadness swept over her. It felt like a longtime friend was about to embark on a long journey.
From the side, Monica watched with pursed lips. Observing the warm interaction between Maggie and Yelena stirred a sense of unease within her. Maggie had once been very kind to her, but now it seemed all of Maggie’s affection was directed toward Yelena.
