She was deeply thankful for Yelena. Without Yelena’s support during her difficult divorce, she might still be enduring a miserable existence.
“Here, my treat,” Yelena said, handing the store manager a cup of coffee she had just bought from an upscale coffee shop.
Every time she passed by that coffee shop, the store manager had hesitated because of the price, even though she’d wanted to try their coffee. Today, she finally had the chance.

“You’re welcome. I’ve got to go. Let’s have dinner together next time,” Yelena replied with a smile, before leaving to rejoin Maggie.
When Yelena got back to the cafe, she found only Maggie there. Leanna and Ellen had already left.
As Yelena approached, Maggie’s face lit up with a smile, and she waved warmly. “Yelena, you must be running on fumes after that marathon shopping trip. How about we take a breather with some coffee and a light snack? What kind of pastry would you like p>
