“Give me the tracker,” Ellen then requested.
Yelena stepped back, looking cautious. “Why do you need it p>
“To destroy it, of course!” Ellen replied, her expression one of helplessness. “Why would I want to keep something so dangerous? Aren’t you worried they’ll track us again p>
“I’ll handle it,” Yelena insisted.
As Yelena walked away, Ellen frowned and muttered under her breath, “She clearly doesn’t trust me p>
Ellen pondered the incident, feeling a chill as she remembered the moment Yelena discovered the tracker in her pocket. It was as if cold sweat had drenched her back. She was in shock.
It dawned on her that the greatest threat might not be someone else, but herself. If Yelena hadn’t found the tracker, she might have unwittingly endangered Austin and the others. The thought sent chills through Ellen.
Yelena clutched the tracker, contemplating whether she should just leave it somewhere and let it stop moving, hoping that those after them would grow suspicious and potentially take action. She was frustrated for not noticing it sooner.
However, the circumstances had been overwhelming, filled with unexpected events that left little room for careful consideration. After all the chaos, Yelena felt her eyelids growing heavy, and a headache started to form.

Out of the corner of her eye, Yelena spotted a rat approaching from a distance. It had just emerged from a sewer, peeking around, looking sneaky. The sight of the rat reminded her of Leonel, filling her with disgust. She narrowed her eyes, focused on the rat, and flicked her finger gently.
The next moment, the tracker embedded itself into the rat’s body. Despite its tiny size, the tracker caused the rat to squeal once. Its movements became erratic, as if it had been bitten, but it soon calmed down.
Yelena watched the rat scurry away, a faint smile curling at her lips, her eyes twinkling with mischief. “Let this rat give you a taste of your own tricks,” she murmured.
She then turned and walked back to the hospital.
John arrived with his men and secured the perimeter of the hospital, ensuring no one could escape even if they managed to get inside. The opposition seemed to have quieted down.
A few days later, Austin had made significant progress in his recovery. However, Domenic’s condition remained grim. Yelena chose not to rush into attempting to cleanse Domenic’s body of toxins, deciding instead to wait a bit longer.
“Yelena, let’s go back. It’s better to return to somewhere familiar than to stay on edge here,” Ellen suggested.
