Coulson maintained a careful distance behind Yelena as they walked, ensuring he was neither too distant nor too close. Cayson kept glancing back at Coulson, his look a mix of wariness and curiosity. He made a mental note to find a chance to learn more about Coulson.
Upon arriving at the house, just as they approached the door, a shadow appeared in front of Yelena. Before she could react, Aus, her cat, positioned itself in front of her, meowing loudly as if scolding her.

Yelena bent down to pet Aus, but the cat swiftly dodged her touch. It glanced back at Yelena with a scornful look, as if accusing her of being a traitor for leaving it alone for so long and now refusing to be affectionate.
Yelena gently called out, “Aus, come here p>
When it heard her voice, Aus softened. It moved closer, snuggling against Yelena’s feet, and started to purr.
Just then, another cat, Lena, appeared. It leaped into Yelena’s arms, its eyes squinting with contentment. Yelena smiled brightly as she gently cradled one cat in each arm.
Coulson watched, captivated by Yelena’s joyful expression, unable to tear his gaze away.
Yelena went upstairs to tidy up while Coulson stayed downstairs to talk with Cayson and the rest. After tidying up, Yelena returned downstairs to share stories and observations from her trip to Kheley with her family. Coulson sat off to the side, politely interjecting now and then with his own insights and experiences. The atmosphere stayed friendly and pleasant throughout dinner.
Despite the pleasant atmosphere, Cayson always sensed an unusual tension at the table, which he believed was caused by Yelena and Coulson’s presence together.
Once dinner was over, Yelena invited Coulson to the living room to relax and discuss academic topics. Observing this, Cayson excused himself and quietly followed them.

Their exchange was brief but clarified their positions. This left Cayson with a slightly better opinion of Coulson.

Without their knowledge, Bella quietly took a photo of Yelena and Coulson talking in the living room earlier and “accidentally” sent it to Monica.
After reading Bella’s message, Monica was so elated she practically glowed with joy. Her thoughts quickly shifted to the Barton family—when would be the right moment to share this news?
