Upon detecting the menacing edge in Elmore’s voice, a raw impulse surged within Brielle, urging her to slam her fist on the table. She clenched her jaw, however, restraining herself as she was fully aware of the consequences.

Without waiting for Elmore’s reply, Brielle swiftly exited the private room. Damon, who had been discussing business with a client elsewhere in the establishment, caught sight of her as she turned the corner. Acting on instinct, he retreated into the shadows.

“Amelia, how could you come to Hans without giving me a heads-up? If Shepard hadn’t clued me in, were you planning to keep me in the dark?” Denny teased, his eyes twinkling with mischief despite his mock pout.

Amelia was quick to clarify. “Not at all! I am here on business, but I fully intend to treat you to a meal once I finish my work p>

Noticing the slight urgency in her tone, Denny let out a soft chuckle. “Relax, I was just joking. I know you would never leave me out. It is just…” His words trailed off as his gaze inadvertently landed on Wyatt.

In that fleeting moment, Wyatt felt a twinge of regret.

He suddenly wished he hadn’t urged Amelia at Hillside Villa to agree to the partnership with the Chadwick Group.

After leaving the airport, Shepard promptly escorted Amelia and Wyatt to the Chadwick family’s technology center.

Noticing Denny tagging along, Wyatt said coolly, “Mr. Chadwick, you mentioned that your resources are exclusive to business partners. Have you struck a deal with the Williamson family as well p>

“You’ve hit the nail on the head, Mr. Stewart. I’ve indeed partnered with Denny,” Shepard replied.

The partnership was with Denny, not with the Williamson family.

Catching the implication in Shepard’s words, Wyatt raised an eyebrow but said nothing as they stepped into the technology center.
