Chapter 493
Chapter 493:
“Fractured?” Amelia’s voice rose, worry creasing her brow.
Weldon shot Nora a sharp look before comforting Amelia, saying, “She’s exaggerating. My leg is fine—wait, how did you get free p>
In a flash, the ropes around Nora’s wrists fell away, her hands deftly untying the knots at her ankles. “This is child’s play compared to the military’s knot-tying drills,” she said with a smirk.
After untying herself, she walked to Amelia’s side, her fingers releasing the ropes binding Amelia’s hands with practiced ease.
“W-What are you doing?” Weldon stammered, his voice tinged with surprise.
After freeing Weldon, Nora didn’t step back. Instead, she crouched beside him, her hands reaching for his injured leg. Weldon’s eyes widened in alarm as Nora gently rolled up his pant leg, exposing the bruised and swollen shin beneath.
“If I don’t treat this leg now, you’re risking permanent damage,” Nora warned, her tone firm but not unkind. “Or do you fancy limping for the rest of your life p>
Weldon opened his mouth to protest, but the mention of lasting damage changed his mind. “Please, do what you can,” he said, his voice softening.
After a quick inspection of Weldon’s shin, Nora tore two long strips from the hem of her shirt, her movements swift. As she carefully wrapped the fabric around Weldon’s shin, she said, “We don’t have anything here, so this is just a makeshift splint. Tread lightly when we make our move tonight p>

Weldon nodded, but then a puzzled frown creased his brow. “Tonight? Why not slip out now p>
Nora tilted her head toward the warehouse window. “Take a peek outside p>
Weldon edged toward it, peering cautiously through the glass. Apart from Colden and his handful of men, a dozen more bodyguards loomed outside, their presence a silent threat.
Amelia, Nora, and Weldon subtly stretched their limbs, shaking off the stiffness before loosely draping the ropes back over their wrists and ankles. To any onlooker, they still appeared securely bound.
Meanwhile, Colden strode toward a small house tucked behind the warehouse after barking orders to Brady and the others to stand guard at the warehouse entrance.
As he approached the door, a burly bodyguard blocked his path.
Colden’s face twisted with irritation. “I need to see the boss p>
“The boss is busy right now. Wait for a moment,” the bodyguard replied, his tone flat.
“Busy? What is he doing—” Colden began, but his words were cut off by the unmistakable sounds drifting from the house, a woman’s moans intertwined with a man’s heavy, labored breathing.
Realization flickered in Colden’s eyes.
The bodyguard, unfazed, stood like a statue, as if the escalating noises were nothing.
Colden, however, felt a restless heat stirring within him.
As he debated whether to seek out a way to sate his own urges, a commanding voice boomed from inside the house. “Come in p>
