Chapter 449
Chapter 449:
Wyatt looked at Amelia, who was watching him with sharp-eyed anticipation. He took a steady breath and began to relay everything Hiram had uncovered.
Arlene hadn’t been loyal to Jewell at all. She had been involved with other men behind his back.
Jewell had been the one funding Arlene’s life for the past few years, but he rarely showed his face at Pinnacle Coast. Because of that, he hadn’t discovered her secret affairs with other men.
A laugh nearly escaped Amelia, but she pressed her lips together and held it back. Her cheeks turned slightly red as she fought to stay composed.
Della came striding in just then, having heard everything. She let out a loud laugh. “Serves you right, Jewell! That’s what karma looks like p>
Jewell’s expression twisted with fury when he saw Della laughing.
“You disgusting tramp!” he snarled, then swung his hand and smacked Arlene across the face.
That strike landed on the cheek Kamila hadn’t hit, leaving both sides of Arlene’s face an identical shade of bruised.
“And who are you to stand there and judge me?” Arlene leaned forward, her tone sharp enough to cut. “If I’m shameless, then what does that make you? You’ve got a wife, yet you’re involved with not one, but two mistresses. I just did what you did. So tell me, what exactly makes me worse than you p>
“You p>
Jewell’s arm started to rise again, but Conroy’s voice thundered through the room, stopping him. “That’s enough! Don’t you feel ashamed of yourself p>

Worried that Conroy might collapse from the strain, the bodyguards and servants quietly slipped out of the room.
Once the room was emptied of everyone but the Stewart family members, Conroy turned toward Wyatt. “Stick to what we discussed. Get them out of the country p>
Kamila tried to protest, but Amelia said coldly, “Unless you’d prefer a jail cell, you should start packing p>
In truth, Conroy had no intention of letting the world find out that his son’s mistress had nearly killed him. Kamila, however, didn’t know that.
Her rebellious look faded as Amelia’s words sank in.
Between being locked up in jail and being sent abroad, the latter felt like the better option.
Kamila lowered her voice and turned to Jewell. “If you come with us, I might be willing to let this go p>
Jewell remained silent.
The hope in Kamila’s eyes slowly died, hardening into hatred. “Jewell, mark my words — you will get what’s coming to you p>
Without a second glance, Kamila spun on her heel and stormed out of the Stewart Mansion.
After Kamila left, Arlene quickly said, “I never planned to stay. I was already planning to go abroad. It was you people who dragged me back here p>
Wyatt didn’t grant her a single glance. Instead, he gave Hiram a subtle nod.
“Hold on p>
