Chapter 545
Chapter 545:
Leandro’s words were cut off when Brielle was suddenly sent sprawling to the floor by a brutal kick. The room fell into stunned silence, everyone frozen at the sight.
At the sound of the disturbance, Davin hurried toward Wyatt, but before he could speak, Wyatt’s cold voice rang out.
“Bring my clothes from the car p>
Still reeling from the shock, Davin hesitated, baffled by Wyatt’s command. Then, quickly gathering himself, he bolted outside. Wyatt soon accepted the clothes from Davin and walked straight into the nearby lounge to change. When he came back out, he discarded his old outfit without hesitation, dropping it directly into the trash.
Brielle had just risen from the floor when her bloodshot eyes locked on Wyatt, burning with fury at his actions. She had been certain that Wyatt wouldn’t dare reject her in front of Leandro. So when Leandro had proposed that Wyatt cast Amelia aside and marry her instead, she had gone so far as to brush her leg against his. She had expected him to be angry but never imagined he would kick her to the floor.
“If you’d rather lose that leg, I’ll gladly take care of it for you,” Wyatt said.
His sharp gaze made Brielle tremble, and she inched toward Leandro, reaching for his arm for support. But Leandro’s frigid stare stopped her, making her pull her hand back in silence.
With a sharp look, Leandro demanded, “What did you think you were doing p>
Even in the dim light of the hall, Leandro had caught Brielle’s movements without mistake. Though his voice came out low, Brielle caught the irritation beneath it. Flustered, she blurted, “I didn’t do it on purpose p>
Leandro’s brows drew together, and his face took on an even icier look.
“If you truly have the power to bring down the Stewart Group, Mr. Rodriguez, then I will concede defeat. But I can’t help wondering… are the rest of the Rodriguez family even aware of what you’re doing p>

With those words, Wyatt turned and walked away without a backward glance. Leandro’s expression shifted as he watched him leave.
“Call Hiram. Tell him to track down Yosef immediately p>
The moment Davin settled into the driver’s seat, Wyatt’s voice came coolly from behind. Davin pulled out his phone without hesitation and began dialing.
Wyatt added, “And make sure Amelia doesn’t hear a word about tonight p>
“Understood p>
Left alone without Wyatt, Amelia couldn’t bring herself to rest. She sat propped against the headboard, trying to distract her restless mind with company affairs. When Wyatt came back and saw her like this, a flicker of disapproval crossed his eyes.
“Why are you still awake p>
As he closed the distance, he reached out and shut the laptop resting in Amelia’s hands.
“I just can’t fall asleep without you p>
Hearing her words, Wyatt gathered her into his arms. He brushed a tender kiss across her lips and murmured, “I’m here now. Get some rest p>
Amelia nestled deeper into his embrace, her voice soft against his chest. “Did you meet with Leandro? Do you know the reason he’s coming after us p>
“It’s because of Brielle p>
“So it really is because of her!” Amelia muttered.
When Wyatt’s eyes lingered on her with unspoken questions, Amelia quickly recounted the phone call she had received from Brielle. She lifted her gaze to him, curiosity flickering in her eyes.
“Do you think Leandro has feelings for Brielle p>
“Unlikely,” Wyatt said softly, recalling what had happened at The Noir. If Leandro truly cared for Brielle, he never would have made such a proposal to him.
“Then why go to such lengths for Brielle?” Amelia pressed. No matter how she thought about it, she couldn’t understand Leandro’s motives. There had been no connections between him and Brielle in the past. He was the head of the Brightmore Group, while Brielle was a member of the Figueroa family and had once lived under the… Chadwick family’s roof, neither the Figueroas nor the Chadwicks had any dealings with the Brightmore Group.
“From what Hiram uncovered, Leandro came to Kretol searching for someone,” Wyatt said.
“Do you think that someone could be Brielle p>
Rather than answer, Wyatt shifted the subject to his plans against the Brightmore Group. Leandro might hold the CEO seat at Brightmore, but every step he took was watched by the Rodriguez family. There was also Leandro’s half-brother, Yosef, always scheming to snatch the CEO seat for himself. Although Yosef was the eldest son, his lack of business acumen had cost him the position. Even so, he never once accepted being beneath Leandro.
When Wyatt finished outlining the struggles within the Rodriguez family, Amelia asked softly, “Does that mean you’re thinking of joining hands with Yosef p>
Wyatt gave a slight nod, prompting Amelia to voice her doubts. “They may be rivals, but they’re still bound by blood. Will Yosef truly side with you against Leandro p>
“He definitely will,” Wyatt replied firmly.
The following morning, Amelia was surprised to receive Brielle’s call again after she had blocked her number—this time Brielle was using a different line. The moment Brielle’s voice came through, Amelia wanted to end the call, but Brielle hurried to speak as if she had expected that.
“Amelia, if you really care about Wyatt, you should meet me p>
