Chapter 505
Chapter 505:
“I have something for you p>
Noticing the impatience in Amelia’s gaze, Dayna slipped a small hair tie from the sleeve of her shirt. The band was pink, adorned with a tiny white rabbit figurine.
Amelia’s face shifted as recognition set in. That very hair tie had been in Dayna’s hair when they first crossed paths. On that day, when Amelia’s eyes lingered on it, Dayna had smiled and told her, “If you like this, I’ll get you one just the same p>
“This is what I promised you long ago p>
As her words ended, Dayna extended the hair tie toward Amelia.
Amelia paused, unwilling to reach for it. “Dayna, no matter what you say, I cannot help you get out of this place p>
Even if Amelia had the power to sway things, she would never intervene to free Dayna from facing justice.

The sadness flickering in Dayna’s eyes quickly hardened into fury. “Amelia, I curse you. May you suffer the fate you deserve p>
Unmoved, Amelia rose from the chair and headed for the door. She walked away without sparing Dayna another glance. Because of that, she failed to see the tears glistening in Dayna’s eyes.

Darwin’s eyes widened at her claim. “You mean to say you’re willing to go undercover for us? Do you understand this could cost you your life p>
Amelia knew nothing of what was being discussed in the interrogation room. Once she left the police station, she headed directly back to the hospital.
As she neared Wyatt’s ward, the sound of voices reached her ears. Weston’s voice inside was unmistakable, and Amelia stopped outside the door.
Sensing someone nearby, Weston turned his head toward the door. The moment he saw Amelia standing there, he rose to his feet and walked over.
“Weldon told me you’d been kidnapped. Were you hurt?” His eyes swept over Amelia as though searching for a wound.
Noticing his concern, Amelia offered a small shake of her head. “No, I’m alright p>
Besides Weston, Shepard was also in the room. Right after getting a call from Weldon the previous night, Shepard had prepared to come to Kretol. Weston had refused to stay behind, so he and Shepard had boarded a flight to Kretol that very night. They had chosen a hotel for the evening, unwilling to interrupt Wyatt and Amelia’s rest.
Just then, Amelia asked, “Shepard, have you gone to see Weldon yet p>
