Since they were children, one truth had always been clear — their father never truly cared for their mother. They had always felt a sense of injustice for Danielle, but seeing Weston weeping at Katrina’s grave, they suddenly understood Weston, especially Weldon.

Falling for Nora had changed Weldon. For the first time, he could see where Weston had stood, though he still felt for Danielle.

Shepard, who had been ready to peel the shrimp for Amelia himself, saw this and quietly pulled his hand back.

“Shepard, I’d like some shrimp, too. Could you peel a few for me?” Weldon said.
