Shepard had been about to defend Wyatt, but when he heard that tone, he went silent.
The mess Wyatt had made would be his to fix.
By the time Shepard’s private plane landed in Kretol, it was already 11 p.m.
Amelia had considered asking Rocco to pick her up, but since it was so late, she messaged Carlee instead.
The moment Amelia and Weldon walked out of the terminal, they saw Carlee waving to them.
