Chapter 461
Chapter 461:
“You want to control the entire Figueroa family p>
Although Wyatt spoke as if he were asking a question, certainty rang unmistakably in his voice.
Damon let out a quiet laugh and replied, “Exactly, Mr. Stewart, you understood my purpose instantly p>
Though outsiders assumed Damon was the heir to the Figueroa family, he himself clearly recognized how fragile his standing within the family was. To truly secure succession, he had to gain full control of the Figueroa family, mirroring how Wyatt commanded the Stewart family with an absolute grip. Still, Geoffrey valued his blood ties to Elmore deeply. So Damon did not have the ability to take power from Elmore’s hands on his own.
After discovering the truth about Brielle’s identity, he had initially decided to join forces with Shepard.
Yet fearing the Chadwick family might hesitate because they had raised Brielle for so many years, he changed his mind and instead came directly to Amelia and Wyatt. Wyatt’s reply only strengthened his conviction that his decision had been the correct one.
“I can cooperate with you, but I have one condition,” Wyatt said.

At that, a flicker of wariness appeared in Damon’s gaze.
Wyatt continued, “I want the valuable land next to Hans Airport. If you help me secure it, I’ll give you my backing p>
Damon wanted that plot of land as well, but he knew it was nearly impossible to obtain on his own.
After all, both the Williamson family and the Chadwick family were eyeing it. So he deemed it wiser to help Wyatt win it.
Understanding this, Damon answered without hesitation, “I’ll help you secure it.” With that, he handed Amelia an old folder.
Amelia opened it with a conflicted expression and found a stack of letters inside.
As she unfolded the pages, her eyes met handwriting she knew well. These were not casual notes — they were fervent love letters Katrina had written to Weston.
Each page held only a few lines, yet Amelia could clearly feel her mother’s love for Weston in those words.
But when she read further, Amelia’s expression shifted abruptly.
Wyatt, who had been watching Amelia intently, caught the change in her expression and instinctively glanced at the sheet she was holding.
It was a breakup letter.
Even through the faded ink, the writer’s anguish and torment were obvious. Wyatt assumed Amelia’s sadness came from that pain, until she said, “This letter wasn’t written by my mother p>
At Amelia’s words, both Damon and Wyatt looked at the letters spread across the table.
Neither of them could immediately see what was wrong with the breakup letter.
“Amelia, how do you know this wasn’t written by your mother p>
“My mother had this habit in her handwriting — she always joined the ‘i’ and the ‘h’ in ‘think’ with a single stroke. But in this letter, they’re separate p>
Following Amelia’s indication, Damon and Wyatt checked the letters.
Indeed, what Amelia said was true.
“I originally believed my uncle only got Weston drunk, but I never thought he even forged your mother’s handwriting for this,” Damon said.
Setting the letter aside, Amelia turned to the documents in the folder. Despite parts of the text being ruined, she still uncovered the truth buried in the past.
No wonder her mother had never shown up that day. In fact, Elmore had arranged everything the night before: he got Weston drunk and deliberately sent a woman into his private room.
After everything was set, Elmore had his people inform Katrina.
When Katrina reached the door of the private room, she saw Weston holding another woman.
In fury, she stormed off immediately.
Though she didn’t go to see Weston the next day, she waited desperately for him to call and explain, but no call ever came.
Instead, Weston received Katrina’s breakup letter.
Three years later, when they crossed paths again, Katrina realized she had never truly let Weston go. So when Weston, drunk, pulled her into his arms, she offered no resistance.
Yet Katrina had not foreseen that in those three lonely years, Weston had gotten married and become the father of two sons.
This discovery plunged Katrina into despair, leading her to change her number and disappear from Weston’s life.
No one imagined that from that single night, Katrina conceived Amelia.
Amelia’s eyes reddened as she read the documents.
“I need to go to the restroom,” she said, wanting some time alone.
Wyatt understood that Amelia needed space to process everything, so he held back from following her.
Amelia fought against her tears as she walked toward the restroom, but just as she turned a corner, she heard Brielle’s voice.
“Amelia, go to hell p>
