Chapter 468
Chapter 468:
“No need for that. Barrie can pick her up,” Wyatt said with a casual shrug.
His words made Amelia feel as though her earlier jealousy had been childish and unwarranted. Wanting to make things right, she insisted that Wyatt go pick up Nora himself.
Just then, Wyatt’s phone buzzed again, the sharp ring cutting through the moment.
“Wyatt, I’m in trouble. You—” Nora’s voice, laced with panic, crackled through the line.
A deafening crash sounded, and the call cut off abruptly.
The chaotic noise from the phone sent a chill down Amelia’s spine. Heart racing, she urged Wyatt to go find Nora immediately.

“I’ll have Barrie stay here to keep things secure at the hotel. I won’t be long,” Wyatt said, his voice steady but urgent.
Worried that Nora might really be in danger, he left quickly.
As Wyatt disappeared into the night, Amelia’s heart twisted with worry. Despite the flicker of envy she had felt over Nora and Wyatt’s closeness, she sincerely hoped nothing would happen to Nora.
Wyatt had promised a quick return, but Amelia waited through a long, sleepless night at the hotel. With every passing hour he didn’t come back, her hope thinned.
In a dimly lit bar in Hans, the air was tight with tension.
“I’m getting you to a hospital,” Wyatt said, his voice taut with concern as he noticed Nora’s flushed face and labored breathing.
Nora, clearly in agony, bit down hard on her lip, clinging to consciousness through sheer will.
At the mention of a hospital, she shook her head hard. “No hospital! My brothers are still in the military. A scandal like this could ruin them. Please, Wyatt, just take me to a hotel p>
“You’re in no condition to argue. You need a doctor,” Wyatt said, his tone firm.
“I’m begging you. Please don’t take me to the hospital,” Nora gasped, her voice breaking with desperation.
Wyatt’s brow tightened, but he relented. He slipped off his suit jacket, draped it gently over her trembling body, and lifted her into his arms.
The Griffiths family carried a unique kind of prominence — one that could not afford the stain of scandal or disgrace.
“Thank you,” Nora whispered once she was in Wyatt’s arms, then pulled his jacket over her head to hide her face completely.
But just as they reached the door of the private room, a figure suddenly stepped in, blocking their way.
When Wyatt saw Sean Carrillo, a flicker of surprise crossed his eyes before his expression hardened into a cold, dangerous glare. “This was your doing?” he asked.
A flash of shock appeared in Sean’s eyes.
