Chapter 578
Chapter 578:
Wyatt scaled the tall tree with practiced ease, his movements quick and sure.
After settling onto a thick branch, he bent down and extended his hand toward Amelia.
Without the slightest pause, Amelia clasped his hand firmly.
A moment later, he drew her up until she was at his side.
They had only just steadied themselves when figures suddenly emerged in the distance.
Leading the group was none other than Buzz.
βBuzz, thereβs a cabin here p>
βGo inside and search it p>

At Buzzβs command, a man strode ahead and kicked the cabin door wide open.
Inside, nothing waited for them.
Buzz frowned deeply.
βStrange. It feels as if they vanished into thin air. Weβve been looking for them all night and still havenβt uncovered a single trace p>
High above the cabin, Amelia stayed perfectly still on the tree, holding her breath to avoid the slightest sound.
Several tense minutes passed before Buzz and his men finally walked away.
As their figures faded into the distance, Amelia leaned close to Wyatt and whispered,
βDo you think itβs safe to climb down now p>
βNot yet. Weβll give it a little more time,β Wyatt replied, his tone edged with caution.
Ameliaβs eyes clouded with confusion at Wyattβs reply.
She opened her mouth to question him but froze as Buzz and his men suddenly circled back.
Glancing over the empty cabin, Buzz said,
βLooks like those two truly arenβt here. Letβs leave p>
Once the men vanished into the depths of the woods again, Wyatt dropped swiftly from the tree and helped Amelia climb down.
When their feet touched the ground safely, Wyatt guided Amelia in the opposite direction.
At the Sunrise Hotelβ
Shepard stood motionless outside the room Amelia shared with Wyatt.
Noticing his behavior, Weldon asked with curiosity,
βWhatβs going on, Shepard p>
βIβve been knocking for quite some time, but no oneβs answering,β Shepard responded, his tone carrying a hint of unease.
Weldon brushed it off, scratching his head as he muttered,
βMaybe theyβre both still asleep p>
Shepardβs brow tightened.
βEven if Amelia hasnβt woken up yet, Wyatt certainly should have p>
After saying that, he rapped on the door again, this time more forcefully.
Silence followed, with no reply from inside.
Even Weldon began to realize that something wasnβt right.
βWhy are you two just standing around here p>
At that moment, Kelsey stepped out of her room, and Weldon turned to her at once.
βKelsey, have you seen Amelia and Wyatt p>
Kelsey frowned in confusion and shook her head.
βNo, I was in my room the entire night. Theyβre not answering the door p>
She pulled out her phone.
βIt could be that they just went out for a while. Let me try calling Amelia p>
The line kept ringing, but no one answered.
Weldon pressed his ear against the door, listening for a moment before saying,
