Does he do something similar to us? He came all the way to Jucridge just to see you, so he must be really devoted. Have you two set a wedding date? Honestly, the more I hear about him, the more curious I get. You’re gorgeous, so I bet he’s pretty good-looking himself, right p>

Zaria quickly realized she had gone overboard and gave an embarrassed laugh. “Just trying to make small talk. If you’re not up for it, no worries. Come on — we’re almost there p>
Once they stepped into the elevator, the rich aroma of food filled the air. The place was clearly in high demand, with reservation signs posted even at the entrance. A server directed them to a table by the window, offering a clear view of the northern skyline.

Suddenly, loud arguing erupted from a nearby table. A man’s angry voice rang out across the restaurant. “You think you can play me for a fool? After everything I’ve spent on you these past few days, now you say we’re not right for each other? Either you pay me back today, or this is going to get ugly p>
The commotion drew the attention of nearly everyone in the restaurant, and Kailey couldn’t help but look over.

Even as the man kept shouting, Dagmar continued eating without any sign of being bothered, her bold makeup perfectly in place.

“I’m her cousin,” Kailey answered, her tone cool and direct.
“Her cousin? Perfect.” The man’s interest sparked as he turned fully to face her. “She tricked me out of my money and hurt my feelings. She owes me an answer, and you owe me a payout. Hand it over p>
“How much are you asking for p>
“Fifty thousand.” He eyed her closely, sizing her up to see whether she could actually pay. “And I want another twenty thousand for my emotional suffering. Seventy thousand in total. If you don’t pay, I’ll make sure she pays for what she did p>
